Mike Jenkins expects to be fine to play in Week 11 after injuring his left arm in the third quarter of Sunday's game at Green Bay, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:Jenkins just suffered a bruise while trying to arm tackle Donald Driver. The former first-round pick hauled in three interceptions so far this season.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Cowboys coach Wade Phillips suggested that Mike Jenkins may have outright won the starting right cornerback job.

Our View:Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick were splitting time, rotating every start, but Jenkins has been the superior player and could keep the job all to himself. Scandrick would likely be limited to nickel duties.
September 4, 2009
The battle between Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick for the Cowboys' starting right cornerback job has resulted in a "draw," according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:The two will apparently "split time and alternate starts at the beginning of the season." They are both expected to play about 70 percent of the team's defensive snaps.

Mike Jenkins will be the Cowboys' number two cornerback this season, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Our View:He's apparently beaten out Orlando Scandrick, even though many feel Scandrick has outplayed him. Cornerback (and not quarterback) controversy brewing in Big D?
August 8, 2009
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is reporting that Cowboys' defensive back Mike Jenkins was carted off the field with a leg injury on Saturday. Jenkins will be examined by doctors with an injury report to follow.

Our View:This could be a potentially serious injury for Jenkins, but we will know more after he is examined. It could be a knee injury, and if it is he could miss significant time. We will keep you updated on his condition when the news is released.
