Derek Stanley is still rehabbing from knee surgery and will be held out of minicamp, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:Stanley is a decent return man, but the injury could compromise his speed this season. He does not merit fantasy interest.

The Belleville News Democrat reports that Derek Stanley was placed on injured reserve on Monday. He has a torn ACL and torn cartilage in his knee. Rams coach Jim Haslett said Stanley will have surgery in the next 2-3 weeks, and it’ll take 6-8 months for him to recover from the injury.

Our View:Stanley suffered the injury on an end around in the first quarter of the Rams’ 23-20 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Haslett said that Dane Looker will return punts and Kenneth Darby will return kickoffs in Stanley’s absence.

The AP reports that Rams wide receiver Derek Stanley (sprained left knee) was injured on Jordan Babineaux’s fumble return. Coach Jim Haslett said he’ll undergo an MRI exam on Monday but thought the injury was serious.

Our View:Stanley is only an option in leagues that reward points for return yards. As a receiver he's rather worthless with just six catches on the season.

Rams receiver Derek Stanley said on Friday that his ankle is feeling better and he will return kickoffs and punts on Sunday, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Our View:Stanley has taken over the kick return duties because of the injury to Dante Hall. Stanley doesn't hold any fantasy value as a receiver but will get plenty of opportunities to return kickoffs because of the Rams defense.

Derek Stanley suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 10 against the Jets, but coach Jim Haslett considers him day-to-day, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:The second-year pro is developing into a solid return man, and has contributed two receptions for 92 yards and a score over his last two games as a receiver.
