Legedu Naanee will be officially considered a wide receiver with the Chargers this season and is expected to see a larger role, according to Pro Football Weekly. Naanee commented that the Chargers might install some special offensive packages for him, and added that they want to get him more snaps at receiver, and plan to use him in creative ways.

Our View:Naanee reportedly has looked impressive in offseason workouts, and head coach Norv Turner is pleased with the 24-year-old’s progress, who was used mainly on special teams in 2007. He should enjoy a boost in production, but won't likely be "fantasy worthy," while fighting with Antonio Gates, Vincent Jackson, Chris Chambers, Buster Davis and Ladainian Tomlinson for Philip Rivers' attention in the passing game.

At times as a rookie, Legedu Naanee was listed as a tight end, wide receiver and fullback. He’s now solely working with the wide receivers, and he’s switched his jersey number from 40 to 11, according to Chargers.com.

Our View:Naanee flashed talent during his rookie season, but he's mired on the Bolts' depth chart behind Chris Chambers, Vincent Jackson, Craig Davis and Eric Parker.
