Tony Gonzalez confirmed in a recent interview on the Falcons' official site that he'll be back with Atlanta next season.

Our View:Gonzalez turns 34 next month but is still near the top of his position and seems likely to have a year or two of football left in him, if not more. He should continue to be a fine fantasy option next season.

AtlantaFalcons.com tweets that Tony Gonzalez did not practice on Thursday due to his strained calf.

Our View:The game against Tampa Bay on Sunday is meaningless, although Gonzalez is just four catches away from 1,000 career receptions. Consider him a risky play and his absence will also hurt Matt Ryan, particularly on third downs.

Tony Gonzalez did not practice Wednesday while nursing his ailing calf, according to the Falcons' official website.

Our View:The future Hall of Famer only needs four more receptions to reach 1,000 for his career, and could reach the milestone Sunday if able to play at Tampa Bay.

Tony Gonzalez exited the game against Buffalo in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury, according to Knox Bardeen's twitter page.

Our View:We will provide additional updates as information hits the newswire. No word on the type of injury or his availablility for the remainder of the game. Prior to leaving, Gonzo had two receptions for 17 yards.

Tony Gonzalez posted nine receptions for 83 yards in the Week 12 victory over Tampa Bay.

Our View:In the last four games, Gonzo has compiled 28 receptions for 273 yards and two touchdowns. The 13-year veteran continues to perform at a high level, and in Week 13 faces an Eagles defense that ranks 32nd in points allowed to the tight end position.
