Cowboys rookie running back Felix Jones once again visited the end zone on a 33 yard run. Jones rushed for 96 yards on only nine carries in the Cowboys' 33-21 win over the Bengals.

Our View:For fantasy owners who took a chance on the rookie from Arkansas, it sure is paying big dividends. Jones is averaging over nine yards a carry and has scored three times on the ground. He has also added a kickoff return for a TD.

Felix Jones failed to get any touches on Sunday as the Cowboys were playing from behind, according to the Dallas Morning News. "He has a specific role that he plays," head coach Wade Phillips said. "The plays that he works on, they aren't really come-from-behind plays. They are more normal-game-situation plays."

Our View:The Cowboys are unlikely to be playing from behind much this season, and we should see plenty more big plays from the explosive rookie.

Felix Jones has sustained a bruised right calf during battle with the Packers, according to the Star-Telegram.

Our View:His leg was heavily wrapped Monday, but the ailment is not believed to be serious. He has proven to be a strong and productive compliment to Marion Barber in the early going, as he rushed for 148 yards and two scores, with an impressive 8.2 yards-per-carry average. We will keep you posted on his status.

Rookie Felix Jones recorded his second touchdown of his young career on a 60 yard dash down the sideline against the Packers on Sunday. He finished the night with just six carries for 76 yards.

Our View:Jones added 49 yards on kickoff returns and continues to show incredible glimpses of explosiveness. He's a must have handcuff for Marion Barber and in deep leagues that count return stats, he's worth having for depth.

As the Dallas Cowboys look for more ways to get rookie running back Felix Jones the ball more, expect to see him utilized in the passing game, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Jones does not yet have a reception in his NFL career, but he is so explosive that the team has to find a way to get the ball in his hands. He needs to be on all fantasy squads that also have Marion Barber.

Cowboys' coach Wade Phillips expressed Tuesday his desire to get Felix Jones more touches according to the Dallas Morning News. "It's not easy, because we've got such a great back already back there that can make a big play for you at any time," Wade Phillips said. "But I think he gives you some juice at times. We're going to try to work him in more and more." Added RB coach Skip Peete: "Like I told him, 'Each week your role is probably going to grow and grow and grow and grow.' We have certain things that we've been practicing and been doing to implement him into the system. A couple of them were called the other night, and a lot of them haven't been called."

Our View:Jones has looked exceptional so far and this news figures to make him more valuable to fantasy owners. Phillips employed Julius Jones with Marion Barber last season so a committee approach is not completely unheard of. Felix is worth having on your roster for depth and a must-have for Barber owners.

The Dallas Cowboys want to get rookie runner Felix Jones more touches, so they plan to use him more in the passing game to utilize his speed, according to Sporting News Today.

Our View:Jones had a very nice game Week 1, with 62 rushing yards and a touchdown. He did not catch a pass, but should he begin to be an option through the air, his fantasy value will continue to rise.

Although Marion Barber says his bruised ribs are "nothing to worry about," owner Jerry Jones says he will play in pain for a few weeks, according to the Dallas Star-Telegram. Felix Jones, who was impressive in Week 1, should see more touches in the meantime.

Our View:Jones had 82 combined yards and a touchdown on nine carries and a kick return against the Browns in Week 1. He is not worth starting yet, but keep an eye on Barber. If he goes down, Felix could prove to be a very valuable running back.

Felix Jones scored in the first NFL game of this career in Sunday's 28-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. Jones touched the ball nine times and gained 62 yards.

Our View:The rookie scored on an inside run where he zigzagged and finally ran over a Browns' defender for an 11-yard touchdown run.

Cowboys first-round pick, running back Felix Jones, will probably be the team's kick returner for the team's first game of the season, but it will not be a full-time gig, lasting only until Isaiah Stanback and Miles Austin get healthy, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:The team does not want to expose Jones to injury more than necessary. He was a dynamic return man at Arkansas, but the Cowboys value his contributions to the offense more than they do on special teams.
August 19, 2008
Cowboys first-round pick, running back Felix Jones, will probably not be returning kicks season even though he excelled at it during his time at Arkansas, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:Of course, this is subject to change depending on how the season goes, but Jones is going to be an important part of the team's offense, and risking an injury to him on special teams is not worth the risk. Jones will be the change-of-pace back to Marion Barber, so his fantasy value is that of someone who should not be counted on week-to-week.
August 8, 2008
The Cowboys are thrilled with rookie running back Felix Jones, namely for his potential as a pass-catcher, according to the Star-Telegram. The team feels Jones can make an immediate impact in the aerial attack, and in change-of-pace situations.

Our View:Marion Barber will likely get most of the carries on the ground, but Jones could hold favorable fantasy value in PPR leagues as a weapon in the passing game.
July 25, 2008
Running back Felix Jones has signed a five-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:Jones is going to be the lightning to Marion Barber's thunder, but his fantasy value will be limited because Barber will clearly be the one to get the goal-line carries.
June 11, 2008
Felix Jones and Marion Barber lined up in the backfield together several times during today's workout, according to the Dallas Morning News. Barber was lined up in front, while Jones lined up at tailback and motioned out wide. "I'm very comfortable with it," said Jones. "Right now, they're just getting me introduced to it. They're just showing me some of the things that I can do in the future."

Our View:Jones will be used mostly as a change-of-pace back this year, but it's clear the Cowboys want to use him and Barber together some, as well.

The Cowboys selected a running back in the first round as expected. And although it wasn't Arkansas All American Darren McFadden, it was his teammate Felix Jones. The McFadden backup was an Associated Press third-team All-American and first-team All-SEC special teamer.

Our View:The versatile athlete was productive in a limited role at Arkansas. Jones is so highly respected in NFL circles he was able to be a first-rounder as a backup in college. The triple threat tailback will have an immediate role for Dallas and is an insurance policy for starter Marion Barber. His presence will hurt the fantasy value of Barber, who was in line to jump his touches with the departure of Julius Jones.
