Felix Jones has started rehab in his recovery from turf toe surgery, according to the Dallas Morning News. Jones said, "I've got a long time before I get back on the field next year. Every day is a blessing and a healing day for me."

Our View:He is expected to be sidelined for around six months, barring a setback. The rookie provided a great complement to Marion Barber this season prior to going down, as he averaged 8.9 yards per rushing attempt.

Felix Jones was placed on the injured reserve on Wendesday which officially will end a strong but short rookie season, according to the Associated Press. The Cowboys signed Tra Battle off of the Chargers' practice squad to take Jones' roster spot and the Cowboys said that Battle could play on Thursday.

Our View:Jones had given the Cowboys a powerful one-two punch with Marion Barber and will now have to rely more heavily on Barber if they are to make the postseason.

Felix Jones' rookie campaign is over as he is headed for injured reserve, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:The Cowboys are going to shut him down due to a big left toe injury suffered while rehabbing his ailing hamstring. He will be missed as he averaged 8.9 yards per carry this season.

Felix Jones has returned to practice Wednesday following his recovery from a hamstring ailment, according to the Cowboys' official website.

Our View:He practiced without any issues, and the dazzling rookie looks to return to the gridiron Sunday in a favorable match-up against the 49ers.
