A day after both Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson topped 100 yards in a win over the Dolphins, head coach Dick Jauron said Lynch remains his No. 1 running back, but Jackson will continue to get plenty of work. “Marshawn will probably get a little more, but just a little more,” Jauron told the Bills official website. “It’s one of those deals where you can go with the hot guy. You have a rotation, but if one of them is hotter than the other you just go with them for a while and see where it leads us.”

Marshawn Lynch returned to the lineup Sunday and topped 100 yards, but it was Fred Jackson who lead the team in rushing, gaining 115 yards on 15 carries. Jackson has likely earned steady work in the future, though Lynch will still be the feature back as long as he remains healthy.

Starting in place of the injured Marshawn Lynch and Anthony Thomas, Fred Jackson scampered for 82 yards on 16 carries Sunday. He also reeled in four passes for a team high 69 yards. It seems likely Lynch will be able to return to action soon, possibly even in Week 14, but Jackson should remain the starter if Lynch's return is delayed.

If neither Marshawn Lynch nor Anthony Thomas can play on Sunday, Fred Jackson would likely get the start ahead of rookie Dwayne Wright. "In the last two games, he's been in there against the varsity, so to speak," head coach Dick Jauron told the Buffalo News. "He looks fast. He looks elusive. He's tough. He catches the ball well. He runs well. He runs hard. I was very impressed with his game." Jackson gained 65 yards on 10 touches last week against the Jaguars.
