LeRon McClain is expected to remain the Ravens' short-yardage back even after moving to fullback, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:McClain's yardage totals will obviously take a hit with the move to fullback, but could still be a good source for touchdowns if he gets the pigskin in short-yardage on the goal-line. He scored 10 touchdowns on the ground in 2008, and added another receiving.

The Baltimore Sun is reporting that LeRon McClain has added 20 pounds compared to his playing weight last season. This could indicate that he will serve in a more traditional fullback role this season.

Our View:McClain is either out of shape or he is prepping to carry the load at fullback. We would assume it is the latter, since Lorenzo Neal is no longer with the team and since the Ravens are extremely deep at running back. Expect him to see some short yardage carries, but he won't have nearly the fantasy impact he did a year ago if he is the fullback.

NFL.com is reporting that LeRon McClain may be moving back to the fullback position for the Ravens this season. McClain was the Ravens leading rusher last season.

Our View:McClain makes more sense as a fullback with his size and with the Ravens' depth at running back. He will be opening holes for Willis McGahee and Ray Rice this season, but he could still get some carries in short yardage situations.

LeRon McClain carried the ball only one time before he was forced from the AFC Championship game because of his injured ankle.

Our View:McClain burst on the scene with 902 yards and 10 rushing scores, and that bodes well for his future in Baltimore, though the presence of Ray Rice and Willis McGahee somewhat clutters that outlook from a fantasy perspective.

LeRon McClain missed practice for the second straight day due to an ankle ailment, according to NFL.com.

Our View:He is still expected to play Sunday in the AFC title game at Pittsburgh. McClain averaged 88.5 rushing yards over the final six games of the regular season, with 87 yards coming against the Steelers in Week 15.
