According to philadelphiaeagles.com, Kevin Kolb has denied that there have been any contract talks between his representatives and the Eagles.

Our View:There were reports of an extension in place, but Kolb was quick to shoot down anything having to do with talks involving contracts. "We haven't even talked to them as far as I know," Kolb said. "That totally blew me away when that was reported because that was obviously false." Looks like the Eagles still have some big decisions to make on their QB situation, as they have Kolb, Mike Vick and Donovan McNabb all signed through next season. Expect someone to be moved before training camp gets underway.

Rumors are circulating in Philadelphia that the Eagles have offered back-up quarterback Kevin Kolb a contract extension, according to the Camden Courier Post.

Our View:But really, that's all they are, rumors. A Kolb extension would seem to indicate the team is ready to make him the starter. However, the club recently said they plan on keeping both Kolb and Donovan McNabb for the 2010 season. The smart money is on McNabb getting at least one more year under center in Philly.

A number of teams, including the Browns, are expected to inquire about Kevin Kolb, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Our View:The Eagles have three quarterbacks - Kolb, Donavan McNabb and Michael Vick - that will draw varying degrees of interest around the league, and thus will certainly at least listen to offers for any of the three. Still, with McNabb being 33 years old and having just one year left on his contract, it's tough to imagine Philadelphia dealing Kolb, who's generally regarded as their quarterback of the future.

Kevin Kolb completed 24-of-34 passes for 327 yards with two touchdowns through the air, and added a rushing score in the Week 3 win over Kansas City.

Our View:In the past two weeks, Kolb has filled in admirably for Donovan McNabb, averaging 359 passing yards per game with four touchdown passes and a rushing score. However, it could be the end of the line for Kolb, as the Eagles have a bye in Week 4 and McNabb should be ready to return in Week 5 against Tampa Bay.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said that Kevin Kolb would be the team's starter in Week 3 following Sunday's loss to the Saints. Kolb threw for 391 yards in the loss but also threw three interceptions.

Our View:For now, we will give the edge to Kolb, but expect him to face plenty of competition this week from Jeff Garcia and perhaps Michael Vick. It's very unlikely that Donovan McNabb is ready to go.
