Chad Henne was almost called into action Sunday during the Dolphins' disappointing loss to the Ravens, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Coach Tony Sparano said, "At one point I kind of thought, maybe we should put Chad in there and let him do this and run this two-minute deal and go down the field. I also knew that on the other side those guys would be in more of a pass rush mode in there in that type of situation. I still had this thing in my head thinking, 'Hey, maybe we can get down the field, we can score, we can onside kick, and try to do one of those things there.' We just got shut out on downs."

Our View:Henne has far more upside than the oft-injured Chad Pennington at this point in his career, and it would not be surprising to see Henne unseat him as the starter at some point this season, but his fantasy value would likely be limited.

The Miami Herald believes the Dolphins might want to give quarterback Chad Henne a look in the near future. Chad Pennington has started all six games for the 2-4 squad, and the paper thinks Henne should enter the lineup if the Dolphins drop upcoming games to the Bills and Broncos.

Our View:There's no question that Pennington is not the long-term answer and that the franchise hopes Henne can become a cornerstone. The timing is always tricky in these cases. Fantasy owners can count on Pennington sticking as the starter for at least another couple games.

The Miami Dolphins have not been impressed with quarterback Chad Pennington, and if he does not get better, the team may look to rookie Chad Henne after their Week 4 bye, according to Pro Football Weeekly.

Our View:Henne was impressive in garbage time against Arizona last week, but anyone who has played fantasy football knows counting on rookie quarterbacks and their weekly swings is dangerous.

Dolphins rookie quarterback Chad Henne will not be starting Week 3, and the job still belongs to Chad Pennington, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View:Henne came into the Dolphins blowout loss to Arizona in the fourth quarter and completed seven passes on 12 attempts. He'll likely get some snaps behind center later in the year as Miami falls further out of contention.

Coach Tony Sparano commented that he hasn't ruled rookie Chad Henne out of the competition for the starting quarterback job, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Sparano said, "Two, one, I'm not sure where they are right now (between Henne and Chad Pennington). It's hard to tell. Chad Pennington hasn't had a lot of work right now. But I feel really comfortable with Chad Henne and my evaluation of where he is. I think he's developed a bunch since the start of rookie camp. All of a sudden the game is starting to slow down, and he's playing a little bit more comfortable in the pocket, starting to see the field a little clearer and making some faster decisions out there in critical situations. Henne is really showing me great poise."

Our View:So it appears that Pennington still needs to fight for the starting job, and Josh McCown has apparently fallen out of the race. Josh Beck is on the trading block as well. If Henne does win the No. 1 role, he isn't likely to make a solid fantasy impact.
