Contrary to some reports last Brady Quinn did receive more snaps with the first team, according to Cleveland Plain Dealer. Quinn said that his reps approximately doubled from one per period to two. That might not sound like much but there are only between six and 10 reps per practice period.

Our View:Even though Derek Anderson led the Browns to a win last week you can expect that Quinn will be ready to go as soon as the offense stalls a couple of times.

In an involving story, Brady Quinn just might end up starting for the Browns behind center, according to the Associated Press. “We have to look at all of the positions,” HC Romeo Crennel said. “We’ll definitely try to get [Quinn] ready and get him ready to go and we’ll see how it progresses from there.”

Our View:The team hasn't made any official comment that Derek Anderson will lose his starting spot, but the writing is on the wall here at it is clear that a change could be coming, and as early as this week. We will keep you updated on this situation continually with up to date reports.

Brady Quinn will get more work with the starting offense in practice this week, according to ESPN.

Our View:Coach Romeo Crennel is not ready to announce that he is benching struggling starter Derek Anderson, but he does intend to get Quinn well-prepared through the week in case he is called into action against Cincinnati Sunday. Anderson is just an interception or errant throw away from riding the pine, and Quinn should be "handcuffed" for fantasy owners that drafted Anderson as a starter.

The Chiefs called the Browns this past week to inquire about the availability of quarterback Brady Quinn, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports. The Browns shot down the chances of a deal, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:If true, we're guessing that the Browns actually laughed and hung up. Given how shaky Derek Anderson has been thus far, Quinn is becoming more valuable by the day.

Brady Quinn may or may not end up behind center for Week 1, but on this night he did all he could to prove he would be ready for the task. Quinn went 7-for-9 for 65 yards in his two series on the field.

Our View:Derek Anderson (concussion) is expected to resume practicing on Monday in preparation to start in Week 1. If he suffers any setbacks however, Quinn would almost certainly lead the offense against the Cowboys.
