Darren McFadden says that he is fully recovered from minor shoulder surgery and ready to begin training for the season, according to the team's website.

Our View:McFadden missed three games due to injury and did not even hit the 500 yard mark in 2008. He is going to have to prove that he is healthy and productive before he has any real major fantasy value.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, running back Darren McFadden underwent surgery on his left shoulder on Jan. 13, in a procedure of which even several Raiders officials were unaware. McFadden reportedly returned to the setting of his college days, Fayetteville, Arkansas, to have the surgery. He is recovering fine and is not expected to miss any offseason workouts.

Our View:McFadden hurt the shoulder in the same game he sustained the first of two turf toe injuries, which was Sept. 14 against the Chiefs.

Darren McFadden is facing a paternity suit, according to the Northwest Arkansas Times. He is being sued by a woman in California for unpaid child support.

Our View:McFadden admitted that he is the father of the child, so he will likely have to pay. He is also said to be the father of three illegitimate children. This matter should not hold any significance regarding the 2009 season.

Tom Cable will be named the Raiders' permanent head coach at a press conference on Wednesday, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Our View:Cable took over for Lane Kiffin midway through the season and went 4-8. His only other head coaching experience was in college at Idaho from 2000-2003, where he went 11-35.

Al Saunders will turn down any offer to be the offensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Our View:Saunders was the coordinator for the St. Louis Rams last season, but was subsequently fired after Steve Spagnuolo became head coach.
