Roddy White is questionable for Sunday against the Giants with a knee injury, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.

Our View:White has been limited in practice for a number of weeks now, and has yet to miss any game time. He will almost certainly be a go on Sunday.
November 19, 2009
Falcons' wide receiver Roddy White returned to practice in a limited fashion on Thursday, according to the team's official website. White is dealing with a knee injury.

Our View:White should be fine for this week, and it was a good sign that he was able to get out there today. Fantasy owners should feel comfortable putting White in the lineup this week, but we will continue to monitor his status.
November 18, 2009
Roddy White missed today's practice while nursing his ailing knee, according to the Falcons' official website.

Our View:White managed to haul in eight receptions for 98 yards against a good Carolina pass defense in Week 10. The star receiver should be fine to pencil into fantasy lineups if deemed fit to play against the Giants on Sunday.
November 15, 2009
Roddy White compiled seven receptions for 98 yards in the Week 10 loss at Carolina.

Our View:This was a solid bounceback performance for White, who only had three receptions for 27 yards last week at New Orleans. The Falcons go-to receiver continues to represent a solid No.1 fantasy wideout in all formats.
November 15, 2009
As expected, Roddy White (knee) will play on Sunday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Our View:White is coming off his worst game of the season, but can be expected to exceed both the three catches and 27 yards he tallied last Sunday, even against Carolina's staunch pass defense.
November 13, 2009
According to Atlantafalcons.com, elite receiver Roddy White was limited in practice for a third straight day with a knee injury, and is considered questionable for Week 10.

Our View:White was listed as questionable last week as well and played without incident. Expect him to start again this week, and he should be employed in all fantasy formats as he has a favorable matchup against the Panthers.
November 11, 2009
Roddy White was limited in Falcons practice with a knee injury on Wednesday, according to the team.

Our View:Likely nothing more than a precaution. The elite receiver should be good to in Week 10.
November 8, 2009
John Czarnecki of FOX Sports stated that Roddy White will play today against Washington.

Our View:White has been dealing with a knee injury, but should be OK to pencil into fantasy lineups. The matchup is tough though, as Washington is ranked second in pass defense.
November 6, 2009
Although in a limited capacity, Roddy White (knee) returned to Falcons practice on Friday, and is expected to play and start this weekend, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View:White had four catches for 108 yards and a touchdown a week ago, and can be expected to go to work against the Redskins this weekend.
November 5, 2009
Roddy White missed practice on Thursday with a knee injury, according to NFL writer Adam Caplan. White is still likely to play this week against the Redskins.

Our View:The Falcons will have an official injury report tomorrow, so we should know more by then. Owners should plan on having him available, but you will want to continue to check up on him just to be sure.
November 2, 2009
Roddy White had a big night for the Falcons on Monday in their loss to the Saints. White caught four balls for 108 yards and a touchdown.

Our View:White has really turned it on as of late, and he has solidified himself as a top wide receiving option. Expect him to deliver nearly every week, especially when Matt Ryan breaks out of his slump.
October 25, 2009
Roddy White caught six balls for 50 yards and a touchdown against Dallas on Sunday.

Our View:White continues to excel after getting off to a slow start and is a clear top-10 weekly play at his position.
October 18, 2009
Roddy White caught four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Bears.

Our View:White didn't come close to the game he had last week, but he still found the end zone for the third time in two contests. He got the scoring started for the Falcons with a 40-yard TD catch in the second quarter, his long on the day.
October 11, 2009
Roddy White lit up the 49ers in Sunday's 45-10 win at Monster Park, as he hauled in eight catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns. His second score covered 90 yards on a strike from quarterback Matt Ryan.

Our View:White's 210 receiving yards set a single-game franchise record with Atlanta. He only had a total of 119 receiving yards over his previous three games heading into today.

Head coach Mike Smith stated that the Falcons will have to be effective on deep passing plays in order to avoid frequent eight-man fronts against the Panthers' defense today, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Smith said, "We want to create explosive plays. When you have an explosive play it usually leads to points on that drive."

Our View:Roddy White is the Falcons' top vertical threat, and he hauled in 11 passes for 160 yards over two games against Carolina in 2008. Expect solid production from White today, namely as Carolina's defense struggled in their Week 1 loss to the Eagles.
August 8, 2009
According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, the Falcons and No. 1 wide receiver Roddy White have agreed on a six-year, $50 million contract. He will earn $18.6 million in guaranteed money.

Our View:White, a holdout to this point, is expected to be in camp tomorrow. This deal couldn't come soon enough for the Falcons, as they are incredibly thin at wide receiver. White is a great WR1 fantasy option, and he gelled exquisitely with QB Matt Ryan last season. Expect more of the same in 2009.
August 5, 2009
The Falcons are reportedly "disappointed" in the way contract negotiations with Roddy White have been going, and the situation could "linger," according to Adam Schefter.

Our View:Not a good thing for a team with huge expectations for 2009. If Matt Ryan's favorite target from last season isn't 100 percent ready to go for week 1, it could affect the entire Falcons offense. Monitor his status before drafting him too high, as well.
August 3, 2009
Falcons' receiver Roddy White was not at training camp for the third straight day on Monday as he continues to hold out, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. White has one year remaining on his current deal, and he is scheduled to make $2.28 million this season.

Our View:White feels like he deserves more money, and after his 2008 season we would have to agree with him. Still, with expectations soaring in Atlanta, the team really needs White to report to camp to get ready for the season. We will keep you updated on his status, but his fantasy value shouldn't be affected unless the holdout extends for a couple more weeks.
August 2, 2009
Roddy White missed Atlanta's first day of training camp on Saturday and will continue to be fined nearly $16,000 for each day he misses as he holds out for a new contract, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Our View:While Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff is confident things will get worked out in the near future, NFL insider Adam Schefter stated in a Twitter post that he believes that White's holdout could be serious and take some time. This is certainly a situation to monitor, as White is due to make just $2.28 million this season before being a free agent heading into 2010, this despite 13 touchdowns and 2,584 yards the past two years combined.
August 1, 2009
Roddy White did not report for the first day of training camp on Saturday. He is apparently angling for a new contract, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. White is in the final year of his rookie deal and slated to earn $2.5 million this season.

Our View:White has obviously out-performed his deal, and the Falcons would be wise to hand him a new contract sooner rather than later. Matt Ryan needs his best weapon to be in camp and on the field.
July 31, 2009
Roddy White missed the first team meeting of training camp with the Falcons Friday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View:He looks to be holdout, and would be fined $17,000 for each day of camp that he misses. White believes he deserves a new contract after breaking out with 88 receptions for 1,382 yards in 2008.
July 29, 2009
Roddy White might hold out of Falcons training camp, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View:Negotiations on a contract extension are not going well, and White's agent sounds like he's gearing up for a game of hardball. As long as he doesn't miss a truly significant of time, however, it should have no bearing on where you draft him.
July 22, 2009
Roddy White and the Falcons aren't likely to get a contract extension hammered out before the season starts, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Our View:Matt Ryan's top target from 2008 won't be holding out from camp, however. Expect him to post about 1,200 receiving yards and ten touchdowns in 2009.
May 10, 2009
Roddy White and the Falcons have begun to discuss long-term contract extensions, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View:White has been a beast for the Falcons over the past two seasons, and we see little reason why he should slow down in his fourth season. The Falcons are wise to try and lock him up long term, and owners would be wise to land him in a draft.
January 4, 2009
Falcons head coach Mike Smith won the AP 2008 NFL Coach of the Year award on Sunday, according to the Houston Chronicle. He edged Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano by one vote.

Our View:Smith took a 4-12 club and took them to an 11-5 record with a rookie quarterback. No matter who won the award between Smith and Sparano, either coach would've been very deserving.
January 3, 2009
Roddy White fared well in Saturday's 30-24 loss to the Cardinals in the opening round of the playoffs, as he hauled in a game-high 11 receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Our View:The Falcons crashed and burned tonight, but White was a lone bright spot offensively.
