Player Notes
November 27, 2008
Calvin Johnson was one of just a few bright spots for the Lions on Thursday, finishing with 66 yards receiving on five catches.

Our View:Johnson is one of the best receivers in the league. Just imagine what he could do if he even played for a decent team.

Daunte Culpepper said that the Lions will use more motion on Thursday in an attempt to get Calvin Johnson into single coverage more often, according to the Detroit News.

Our View:Double coverage hasn't slowed Johnson down much this season, as he's still gone over 100 yards receiving three times and has caught eight touchdown passes.
November 23, 2008
Calvin Johnson caught three balls for 66 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 loss to Tampa Bay.

Our View:Johnson, who has scored in six of the last seven games, is the lone bright spot on offense in Motown.

Wide receiver Calvin Johnson (quadricep) is active and will start this week against Tampa Bay.

Our View:The Bucs rank 4th in pass defense (182.2 yards per game), so Johnson has his work cut out for him. But he's fully established as an every week starter regardless of the match-up.

Calvin Johnson fully practiced Friday after being limited Wednesday while nursing a quad ailment, according to the Lions' official website.

Our View:Johnson should be fit to start in Week 12, but has a tough match-up against the Buccaneers' fourth ranked pass defense. He should still be penciled into fantasy lineups as he scored a touchdown in five of his last six games.
