Michael Bush got the majority of the work at running back for the Raiders on Sunday, receiving 14 carries and gaining 48 rushing yards. His real impact came as a receiver. Bush caught seven passes for 80 yards.

Our View:Bush's stat line made him look more like Reggie Bush on Sunday. As Darren McFadden and Justin Fargas get healthy, Bush will almost certainly see less work.
September 19, 2008
According to ESPN's John Clayton, Darren McFadden claims he is "about 70 percent," meaning Michael Bush will likely see another 10-plus touches on Sunday in Buffalo.

Our View:Last week he had 90 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in Oakland's win over Kansas City. Don't expect such numbers against a tough Bills defense.

Michael Bush could see an expanded role in Week 3 against Buffalo with Justin Fargas doubtful with a groin injury and Darren McFadden questionable with turf toe, according to the SF Chronicle.

Our View:Bush bruised his way to 90 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in Oakland's win over Kansas City. But Buffalo will be a much tougher match-up as they have allowed less than 100 rushing yards in each of their first two games.
September 15, 2008
If Justin Fargas cannot play in Week 3 due to his groin injury, Michael Bush will serve as the primary backup to rookie Darren McFadden, according to the SF Chronicle.

Our View:Bush would hold some fantasy value, as he bruised his way to 90 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries against the Chiefs Sunday.
September 14, 2008
Michael Bush carried the ball 16 times for 90 yards and a touchdown on Sunday vs. Kansas City.

Our View:Bush was pressed into action after Justin Fargas exited the game during the second quarter with a groin injury. We don't have an updated status on Fargas, but Bush should be considered as a waiver wire pickup this week, especially in basic scoring leagues.

It seems Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin changed his mind, and Michael Bush will not be turned into a fullback after all, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. "Michael Bush is a tailback here. ... Michael Bush isn't here to be a fullback," said Kiffin.

Our View:Even though everyone, including Bush, thought that the switch was being made, that apparently isn't going to happen. He may be used as a second back in formations with the other runners, but his position will remain tailback. His fantasy stock remains what it was two days ago.
August 26, 2008
Michael Bush has been moved to fullback, according to the SF Chronicle. When fullback Oren O'Neal was lost for the season with a knee injury Saturday, Bush was moved into his spot. Bush said, "I've always been a team player. So, it's one of those things. You just suck it up, go about your business and try to have some fun with it."

Our View:Bush has the body to play fullback at 6-1 245 pounds, and could get some goal-line carries from the spot. He could also be involved in the passing game once he gets comfortable with the position. He isn't worth drafting while backing up Justin Griffith.
August 15, 2008
Michael Bush was the "workhorse" for the Raiders Friday, gaining 59 yards on 14 carries in a loss to Tennessee.

Our View:Two straight solid preseason outings for Bush. He might be the only No. 3 running back in the league that's worth a flyer in fantasy leagues.
August 7, 2008
With Justin Fargas' emergence and the drafting of Darren McFadden, Michael Bush has been a forgotten man in Oakland. But Bush had a "special" day during Wednesday's practice, according to coach Lane Kiffin. He is being groomed for short-yardage and goal-line situations and has excelled in said areas so far in camp, according to Sporting News Today. Bush is making a push to be a regular contributer on offense.

Our View:It's possible Bush, who missed all of last season while recovering from a broken leg, could receive a good chunk of the goal-line work this season. He's worth a late-round flyer in drafts.

Michael Bush will make his game-day debut with the Raiders on Friday against the 49ers, according to the SF Chronicle. He knocked safety Gibril Wilson to the ground on a blitz Wednesday, which was one of many highlights for him so far through training camp. Coach Lane Kiffin said, "If he could practice like that every day, we'd really have something."

Our View:Bush could be a bruiser in the Raiders' offense, and should hold some fantasy value as he is projected to be a short-yardage and goal-line specialist, but his yardage will likely be limited while Justin Fargas and Darren McFadden handle most of the workload.

Michael Bush is displaying strong hands and receiving skills so far in camp, according to InsideBayArea.com. His highlight of Tuesday came when he reached behind for a finger-tip catch on an off-target throw over the middle by Andrew Walter.

Our View:Bush always displayed solid hands for a big man during his time at Louisville, and he could make LaMont Jordan more expendable if he continues to excel in this area.

Michael Bush looked good during minicamp, according to the Oakland Tribune. Bush reportedly ran with a smooth athleticism, and looked natural catching a pass over the middle and pulling away from a linebacker. He burst through holes, and moved very well for a 250-pound back.

Our View:Bush had a chance to eventually fight for a starting gig in Oakland, but the addition of prized rookie Darren McFadden really kills his fantasy value. He will be left to fight for scraps with Justin Fargas, who is coming off a breakout campaign with 1009 rushing yards.
April 28, 2008
A sideline observer at the Raiders' closed practice today commented that Michael Bush looked slow, according to the Oakland Tribune. He missed his rookie season in 2007 while rehabbing his broken leg, and Bush didn't practice much with the Raiders either.

Our View:Bush had a chance to eventually fight for a starting gig in Oakland, but the addition of prized rookie Darren McFadden really kills his fantasy value. He will be left to fight for scraps with Dominic Rhodes and Justin Fargas, who is coming off a breakout campaign with 1009 rushing yards.
