The Broncos are not looking to trade Mike Bell. A few teams have inquired about Bell, but the Broncos want him to split time with Cecil Sapp as the No. 1 fullback and provide depth at running back. "We've seen that happen here with a number of players - Reuben Droughns to name one. Mike Anderson could play both."

Mike Bell continues to run with the third-string offense, but he has also impressed head coach Mike Shanahan. "When we came back, that’s how it was," Bell tells the team's official web site. "You’ve got to trust the coach’s decision, and the only thing you can do is just play." Shanahan adds, "Mike is running better than he was a year ago. He is a making better decisions, and he is a little bit more under control. He is using his instincts." Travis Henry and Cecil Sapp are running with the first and second units, respectively.
