Mike Bell could be playing in Canada sometime soon, as TSN.com reports that the BC Lions are interested in talking with him.

Our View:Bell was a Bronco last season and was with the Texans this preseason before getting cut due to being out of shape. This would eliminate Bell's fantasy value, except in CFL fantasy leagues, of course.

Mike Bell has been placed on waivers by the Texans, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:Bell showed up to camp out of shape, then he sustained a hamstring injury. The Texans have several talented backs fighting for a roster spot at running back, like rookie Steve Slaton and former Titan Chris Brown, and Bell was not likely to make the team in his current condition.

Earlier today we reported newly-signed rusher Mike Bell is not likely to hit the field for Houston as they face his former employer, the Denver Broncos, in preseason action on Saturday. This evening a report from the local beat writer suggests Bell has arrived in camp in poor shape, thus leading to his injury on the first day of practice with his new Texan teammates, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:Coach Gary Kubiak didn't say as much, at least not directly. Asked about Bell, Kubiak suggests he is "not even close" to ready for play, and that seems to give some credence to the report that Bell is out of shape and struggling to get into playing form. We'll keep you posted on his progress moving forward.

Mike Bell won't likely face the Broncos, his former team, in preseason action on Saturday, due to his hamstring injury, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:Bell cannot afford to miss too much time in training camp, as the Texans' backfield is crowded and there are several rushers ahead of him on the depth chart more worthy of making the final roster.

Running back Mike Bell will have to work on his conditioning as he had a problem getting through Houston's practice today, according to HoustonTexans.com. “To be honest with you, he’s not in the shape the rest of our football team is and we found that out real fast,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said.

Our View:That's not the best way for Bell to start with a new team, but it is something that can be corrected with time.

Yesterday we reported that the Houston Texans will bring in running back Mike Bell for a tryout on Friday but here is a report on Thursday from the Houston Chronicle saying that he has been signed.

Our View:Not sure if this is official or not, but Bell makes plenty of sense in Houston's offensive scheme. Chris Brown is injured, Ahman Green has not shown well and Steve Slaton is a rookie so Bell is not a complete longshot to make this club. He is still young and has produced in this style of offense before.

The Houston Texans will bring in running back Mike Bell for a tryout on Friday, according to the Houston Chronicle. "We need some fresh legs to help the other guys,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “We know he can run our scheme.”

Our View:Bell was a rookie free agent from Arizona in 2006 when he rushed for 677 yards and scored eight touchdowns for the Broncos. When he failed to make a successful transition to fullback, they waived him. With Chris Brown sidelined with a sore back, don't be surprised to see Mike Bell get signed this weekend.

Backup full back, and former 600-yard rusher Mike Bell has been waived by the Denver Broncos, according to the Rocky Mountain News.

Our View:Many expected this move after the Broncos, moved Bell to full back last season and then drafted Ryan Torain in this years draft.

Mike Bell missed the final day of the Broncos' passing camp due to a pulled hamstring, according to the Denver Post.

Our View:The severity of the ailment was not disclosed. Bell will have a hard time making the Broncos' roster this season while competing with Travis Henry, Selvin Young, and Andre Hall.

The Atlanta Falcons could be interested in swapping a late-round pick for Denver running back Mike Bell, according to the Denver Post. The Falcons are likely to release RB Warrick Dunn due to his prohibitive contract, and might be looking for a complimentary back to pair with Jerious Norwood, who is not known for his ability to bang between the tackles. In addition, there are rumors floating that Atlanta loves Arkansas RB Darren McFadden.
