Player Notes
September 28, 2008
Wide receiver Lance Moore led the Saints with seven catches for 101 yards and two scores in the Week 4 win over the 49ers.

Our View:It only took about three injuries for Moore to move up the passing game pecking order, but he is clearly taking advantage. He could continue to be useful while Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey are out.
September 28, 2008
Wide receiver Lance Moore will start in Week 4 even though David Patten (groin) is active.

Our View:Moore is an interesting play in fantasy leagues since the Saints are without Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey. We like Moore more in PPR formats than non-PPR systems.
September 24, 2008
Lance Moore will likely start at wide receiver opposite Devery Henderson on Sunday against the 49ers according to the Times-Picayune.

Our View:Does Moore have value? It would appear he is a good play this week against an average San Francisco secondary. The Saints are missing their top three passing targets - Marques Colston, Jeremy Shockey, and David Patten - so Brees will have to throw Moore's way. If you're desperate for a bye-week fill-in, you could pick worse options than Moore.
September 21, 2008
Lance Moore came out of nowhere on Sunday to haul in seven catches for 78 yards. He had just three catches in his first two weeks.

Our View:Is the third year receiver ready to break out? Doubt it. He had totaled just 20 passes in his first two seasons and will likely be irrelevant once Marques Colston returns. Against Denver on Sunday, he likely benefitted from matchups that did not include Champ Bailey and Dre Bly. Still, he was working well with no of the game's best quarterbacks, Drew Brees, on Sunday and we wouldn't be shocked to see him make similar impacts in the coming weeks.

Lance Moore will need to separate himself from other returners in minicamps if he wants to make the final roster, according to the NO Times-Picayune.

Our View:The diminutive Moore has some ability, but the Saints have plenty of depth at receiver.
