Lawrence Vickers missed Wednesday's practice while dealing with an ankle injury, according to the Browns' official website.

Our View:Vickers holds no fantasy value, but he is a solid blocker as the Browns' starting fullback, and will be needed while contending with the Bills. They don't play until Monday night, hence giving Vickers more time to get ready.

Fullback Lawrence Vickers has been listed as doubtful for the Browns Thursday night game against the Broncos, according to the Browns official web site.

Our View:Vickers has only gotten seven rushing attempts in 2008 and doesn't have any fantasy values.

Fullback Lawrence Vickers injured his ankle during the first half of the Week 8 game against the Jaguars. His return is questionable, the team's official web site reports.

Our View:Vickers is only useful as a blocker for Jamal Lewis, and Charles Ali can fill that role. This shouldn't hurt fantasy teams.

Lawrence Vickers stated that his left eye was a little sore but not seriously injured after he was hit with a beer bottle after a 1-yard touchdown run by Jamal Lewis in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game at Cincinnati, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. He said, "I thought maybe somebody poked me in the eye. I was smelling beer, I looked on the ground and that's when the ref said, 'Are you OK?' I was like, 'Oh, my God,' and I kind of snapped because why would somebody throw a bottle on the field?."

Our View:Vickers is a solid blocker and he also has favorable receiving skills. The team is relieved he is going to be fine.

Browns' coordinator Rob Chudzinski is devising new ways to utilize fullback Lawrence Vickers in the offense this season, according to the Dayton Daily News. Vickers said, "My role will be changing to allow me to do more things on offense. Just from me showing that I can handle the things that were thrown at me early on. This is my second year in the offense and I'm learning more. I feel like I'm growing more and more as a professional and look forward to the challenge. The opportunity to play a bigger role on offense means a lot to me."

Our View:The Browns offense finished last season ranked eighth overall, and are looking to improve on their success this season. The source expects Vickers to be featured more like Tom Rathman during his days with the 49ers. Vickers caught 13 passes in 2007, and could be worth a look in PPR leagues and larger standard leagues as a late-round value pick. He could be a favorable player to add in salary cap leagues as well to fill out the roster, as he could likely be had at a rock bottom price.
