The Browns placed a second-round tender on Jerome Harrison, according to the Browns' official twitter page.

Our View:Harrison fared well in Cleveland last season, as he averaged 4.4 yards over 194 carries. He will have good odds of being their No. 1 running back in 2010.

In somewhat of a surprising move, Cleveland football "czar" Mike Holmgren has told Browns head coach Eric Mangini that he and his entire coaching staff will be retained for the 2010 season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Our View:Mangini likely saved his hide with a four-game winning streak to end the season. His retainment almost surely means that Jerome Harrison will be Cleveland's feature runner in 2010, making him a very intriguing early round darkhorse pick next season. Now Cleveland just needs to find a quarterback that looks like he is playing in the era of the forward pass.

Restricted free agent Jerome Harrison would like to return to the Browns in 2010, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Few finished 2009 on a higher note than Harrison, who rushed for over 100-yards in each of Cleveland's final three games, carrying the ball an NFL-record (for three weeks) 106 times in the process. In just five games as Cleveland's feature back this season, he rushed for a sensational 862 yards and five touchdowns. He will almost certainly be back in 2010.
January 3, 2010
Jerome Harrison posted 33 carries for 127 yards and a touchdown in the Week 17 victory over Jacksonville. He also chipped in two receptions for 20 yards.

Our View:Over the last three games, Harrison has compiled 106 carries for 561 yards (5.2 YPC) and five touchdowns, staking his claim to be the Browns bell-cow back in 2010.
December 27, 2009
Jerome Harrison rushed 39 times for 148 yards and a touchdown in the Week 16 win over the Raiders. He has six scores over the last four games.

Our View:Eric Mangini failed to commit to Harrison earlier this season, and now he gives him 39 carries? Crazy. Harrison is in the final year of his contract, but he is making a strong case for someone to make him part of a committee in 2010.
