Player Notes
November 16, 2008
Marvin Harrison posted nine receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown in the Week 11 victory over Houston.

Our View:In the previous four games, Harrison had compiled 10 receptions for 110 yards, so this effort was probably wasted on a lot of fantasy benches this week.

Peyton Manning was asked his thoughts about Marvin Harrison and he gave the following statement to the Indianapolis Star. "I really don't have a whole lot to say about that. We're all fighting...He comes to practice and practices as hard as he can every single day. It's a real credit to him. He's always been a great professional that way. He's still getting open."

Our View:Harrison must be getting open when none of us are watching. While we applaud Manning for his continued support of Harrison, it is clear to all that he simply cannot get open like he once did. Perhaps he will find the fountain of youth down the stretch, but we certainly wouldn't be counting on it.

Tony Dungy commented on Marvin Harrison, according to the Indianapolis Star. Harrison's production is down this season but Dungy said, "He's 100 percent. Just one of those stretches we're going through. We have taken those plays for granted ever since I've been here that we're normally going to get two or three deep shots, and when we get them and we get them set up, they're normally touchdowns."

Our View:Harrison failed to haul in a pair of long passes and a goal-line throw Sunday during the Colts' close win at Pittsburgh, but Dungy added that Harrison's job in the starting lineup is safe. Harrison has not scored a touchdown in four straight games, and is only averaging 28 receiving yards over the span.

Marvin Harrison made four receptions for 50 yards Sunday night, showing that he can still be a productive part of the Colts' offense.

Our View:Harrison is only a shadow of what he once was, but still is a viable option in fantasy, especially in deep leagues.
October 27, 2008
Marvin Harrison caught a single pass for 12 yards in the Titans victory over the Colts.

Our View:Ugly. The future Hall of Famer has caught three passes for 23 yards the past two weeks after scoring twice in Week 7. At this point he simply isn't remotely productive enough to be considered anything more than a WR3.
