There is a rumor swirling that the Vikings are interested in Marvin Harrison, according to the Pioneer Press.

Our View:He would have a chance to start as the Vikings lack a proven receiver behind speed demon Bernard Berrian - but the artificial surface of the Metrodome would not benefit his balky knees.

ESPN.com reports that Marvin Harrison's name continues to be linked to the Buccaneers. The report indicates that nothing is imminent.

Our View:Tampa Bay could certainly use another established receiver, but they have cut ties with many veterans from last season's squad and seem dedicated to a youth movement. Harrison still hopes to play next season, but he has yet to make any significant progress with a new team.

Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune does not believe the Buccaneers are serious about pursuing Marvin Harrison.

Our View:The Buccaneers did contact Harrison, but the call was merely considered exploratory. The club needs to add a solid wing-man for top receiver Antonio Bryant, but the aging Harrison is not the answer.

Buc's beat writer Rick Stroud tweeted that Tampa Bay may be interested in longtime Colts receiver Marvin Harrison.

Our View:The Bucs need help at receiver behind Antonio Bryant and they have already expressed interest in Plaxico Burress, so why not Harrison? He's probably less trouble than Burress off the field and as long as he's healthy he's better than anything they currently have besides Bryant.

According to the National Football Post, Marvin Harrison may not be signed by the start of the NFL season.

Our View:Harrison is a free agent and hasn't generated a lot of interest yet, but likely will have plenty of suitors as the season draws near and will be considered an emergency option for interested clubs. He would likely go for the league minimum salary and his fantasy status is undetermined until he signs.
