Greg Jennings has finally agreed to a contract extension with the Green Bay Packers, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The deal is said to make him the second highest paid wide receiver in the NFL.

Our View:While not the second best receiver in the NFL, Jennings is an elite option. He caught 80 balls for 1,292 yards to go along with nine touchdowns in 2009 and will be the number one receiver on almost every fantasy team he is on.

Greg Jennings is reportedly nearing a new deal with the Packers, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Jennings said, "We have been working on some things. We are coming pretty close, as far as my understanding is, to some type of a deal. But when I say close, we could still be far - if that makes sense. But I think we are coming close. You just never know how long close can take to actually closing the deal."

Our View:There is belief that Jennings can score a new deal that averages over $8MM per year, and he is certainly worth it as he established himself as one of the top receivers in the NFL.

Greg Jennings' contract is believed to be a top priority for the Packers, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

Our View:Jennings is the top target in the Packers' aerial attack, and made his claim for a new deal after breaking out with 80 receptions for 1,292 yards and nine scores in 2008.

Wide receiver Greg Jennings may very well get his opportunity to play in his first Pro Bowl, according to the Journal-Sentinel.

Our View:Jennings, a first alternate at wide receiver on the NFC roster, is waiting to see if either Larry Fitzgerald or Anquan Boldin declines to play on Feb. 8. It is a strong possibility that at least one of the two Arizona receivers will forgo the Pro Bowl, whether it's because Fitzgerald and Boldin both decline to play after a brutal playoff run, or Boldin decides to rest his ailing hamstring.

Green Bay receiver Greg Jennings will use the $42 million free-agent contract given to Bernard Berrian by the Vikings as a barometer of the deal he would like, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Jennnings will be in the final year of his contract next season, and he would like a new one. It's fair to say he's been a better performer than Berrian, so the using his deal as a model seems more than fair.
