Joseph Addai suffered a neck injury in the first half of Thursday's win at Atlanta, though he was able to return to the game in the second half and had a short touchdown run. He finished the day with 10 carries for 44 yards, while Kenton Keith, pressed into a larger role, had 17 carries for 74 yards.
October 28, 2007
Joseph Addai had himself quite a day Sunday, rushing for 100 yards and two TDs on 23 carries and catching two passes for eight yards and another score. Perhaps even more important for Addai's fantasy owners is that Kenton Keith received just six carries on the day - five of them coming in the fourth quarter when the game was well in hand.
October 19, 2007
Joseph Addai had a full practice Thursday and is on schedule to return to action Monday at Jacksonville. He's coming back from a chest injury that kept him out of Week 5; the Colts then had their bye.
October 7, 2007
Joseph Addai is on the inactive list for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. He missed practice time this week with a chest injury. Kenton Keith will start in place of Addai.
October 6, 2007
Joseph Addai missed a third straight day of practice on Friday and will be a game-time decision on Sunday, the Indianapolis Star reports. Addai is dealing with a bruised chest. Kenton Keith stands to start if Addai sits.

Joseph Addai exited Sunday's game with a bruised shoulder and did not return. The Colts had the game under control at the time, and coach Tony Dungy said Addai would have come back in had the Broncos scored again, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Backup Kenton Keith did well while Addai was out and makes a good handcuff. But right now, it appears that Addai escaped without a serious injury and probably will be ready for Week 5.

Colts running back Joseph Addai suffered a bruised shoulder during the second half of Sunday’s game and hasn’t returned. His return is “very questionable” according to the telecast, and with the Colts ahead by multiple scores, we doubt he will be back today.

Joseph Addai looked great in his first career start Thursday, as the NFL season kicked off. He carried the ball 23 times for 117 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for another 25 yards. Everyone who drafted Addai in the first round took a collective gasp when Addai took a hard hit on the first play from scrimmage and was left on the ground in pain. Fortunately, after being looked over by trainers, he was cleared to get back in the game. So long as he stays healthy, days like this should be commonplace for Addai this year.

Colts coach Tony Dungy loved his team's two-back system so much last season that he plans on implementing the same scheme this year, even though Dominic Rhodes left via free agency. "You never know if you've got to split time or if you've got to take the full load," starter Joseph Addai told the Terre Haute Tribune-Star. "But whatever the plan might be, I'm ready for it. [A two-back system] has its advantages and disadvantages. If I have to [carry the ball more], I'll still be fresh. I mean, everybody wants to be the guy. But if that's the system we have to play in, I don't mind." DeDe Dorsey and Kenton Keith are the leading candidates to play the role of Addai's running mate, though given their lack of experience it's a safe bet that Addai will still see an increase in last season's 266 touches.
February 4, 2007
Joseph Addai led the Colts with 10 catches for 66 yards in the Super Bowl and also chipped in 77 yards on 19 carries. Addai is likely to step up into a greater role next season.

January 11, 2007
Joseph Addai missed at least some of 11-on-11 drills Wednesday for the second consecutive day, according to the Indianapolis Star. He's listed as questionable with a chest injury, though he's expected to play this weekend versus the Ravens.

Joseph Addai was the featured back in Saturday's win over the Chiefs, rushing 25 times for 122 yards and a touchdown. Addai also got plenty of work as a safety value in the passing game, picking up seven receptions (for a modest 26 yards). The sledding figures to be tougher at Baltimore next week.
