Vernon Davis caught six passes for 89 yards and a touchdown as the 49ers defeated the Rams 28-6 in St. Louis. His touchdown came on a 73-yard catch and run.

Our View:Davis finally paid off this season...and then some. The fourth year tight end caught 13 touchdowns and racked up more than 900 yards while not fumbling once. He'll be 26 later this month and will be highly sought after again during next year's fantasy drafts.

FOXSports.com reports that Vernon Davis will start at tight end in the Pro Bowl.

Our View:Davis has 12 touchdowns this season and has caught 72 passes for 876 yards. The Niners will also be represented by Patrick Willis at inside linebacker and Andy Lee will handle the punts.

Vernon Davis caught just three passes for 18 total yards in Week 16, but one went for his 12th touchdown of the season.

Our View:Davis has been one of the biggest fantasy surprises of the season, but his production has been curbed the last three weeks. Even though he has two TDs over that stretch, he has gained just 34, 43 and 18 yards in each game, respectively.

Despite his monster season, San Francisco tight end Vernon Davis is currently tied for the NFL lead in drops, with nine, according to the Washington Post.

Our View:What he also co-leads in, however, is receiving touchdowns, with 10. Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. Joking aside, the drops are probably more a sign of the number of times he has been targeted than an indictment on his hands.

Vernon Davis caught six passes for 111 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 20-17 loss to Seattle.

Our View:Davis now has TDs in three straight contests and has ten total on the season. He's gone over the 100-yard mark three times now, is showing tremendous chemistry with developing QB Alex Smith and has become a must start every week.
