Mario Williams had his third two-sack game of the season on Sunday and his second in two games.

Our View:The former first overall draft pick established himself as an elite pass rusher last season with 14 sacks, and he is on pace to set a new career mark this season with six sacks thus far.

Mario Williams doubled his 2008 sack total against the Colts in Week 5. Williams was all over Peyton Manning, sacking him twice and he also recorded three quarterback hits, according to the Texans official web site.

Our View:Williams was the Texans No. 1 overall pick in 2006 and is really starting to play to the level the Texans hoped for. In 2007 Williams recorded 14 sacks and so far in 2008 he has four.

In an effort to keep offensive coordinators guessing, the Houston Texans have been lining up defensive end Mario Williams all over the field, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Williams has two sacks on the season, and has developed into a formidable pass rusher. He had 14 sacks a season ago, and it would not be surprising if he equaled or surpassed that total this season.

Coach Gary Kubiak stated that Mario Williams had a dominant off-season, according to the Houston Chronicle. Kubiak said, "Mario was as good as any player I've ever been around in the off-season, and I've been around this game for a long time. He was just so dominant. I can't wait to see what he's going to do this season."

Our View:Williams broke out with 14 sacks and 59 tackles (43 solo) last season, and could realistically set new highs again in 2008, going by Kubiak's glowing endorsement. Scoop him up in IDP leagues on draft day.

Defensive end Mario Williams dazzled the coaching staff during the the Texans' weekend mini-camp. Mario was impressive in this camp," head coach Gary Kubiak tells the team's official web site. "I tell you, he’s an impressive young man right now. And y’all can see it, watching him practice and how he’s going about it... That light went on for Mario somewhere last year about Week 7 or 8."

Our View:Williams registered 11 sacks over the final nine games in 2007, and he is on his way to justifying his No. 1 overall pick status. Fantasy owners in IDP leagues should be very excited about this guy.
