Marshawn Lynch had his first 100-yard game of the season on Monday as the Bills fell 27-29 to Cleveland. He carried the ball 23 times for 119 yards and added 10 catches for 58 yards. He finished with one touchdown.

Our View:Owners have been waiting for a game such as this one, and Lynch finally delivered big time. Cleveland is not a bad defensive team and hopefully this is a sign of a strong stretch-run for Lynch.
November 4, 2008
Coach Dick Jauron stated that Marshawn Lynch needs to improve, according to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Our View:Lynch only gained 17 yards on nine carries last weekend against the Jets, and is only averaging 3.5 yards per carry for the season. The Bills rank 26th in the NFL in rushing, and could continue to struggle this weekend at New England.
November 2, 2008
Running back Marshawn Lynch exited the game against New York in the second quarter, according to BuffaloBills.com.

Our View:There is speculation that Lynch is sick after being taken to the locker room by the team physician. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
October 26, 2008
Running back Marshawn Lynch rushed 13 times for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Week 8 loss to the Dolphins. He also caught five passes for 34 yards.

Our View:Fantasy owners will take it, but Lynch continues to fall well short of 100 rushing yards and we saw a lot of Fred Jackson in this contest. Lynch is a solid fantasy player, but we keep waiting for a breakout game.
October 19, 2008
Running back Marshawn Lynch carried the ball 19 times for 70 yards and one touchdown in the Week 7 victory over San Diego.

Our View:Lynch also chipped in four receptions for 22 yards and the touchdown was his first since Week 3.
September 28, 2008
The Rams were able to hold Lynch in check on Sunday. He had 19 carries for 57 yards and four catches for 24 yards receiving. Lynch didn't find the end zone despite 31 points scored by the Bills.

Our View:It was a very disappointing day for those owners who where excited about the favorable match-up. Lynch will try to rebound next week against an Arizona team that allowed 56 points in Week 4.
September 21, 2008
Running back Marshawn Lynch didn't find too many big holes against the Raiders in Week 3, but he finished with 23 carries for 83 yards and two scores. Lynch also caught four passes for 31 yards. He has found the end zone in all three games this year.

Our View:Lynch hasn't made many dynamic plays this year, but fantasy owners should be quite pleased. He is up to four touchdowns and has put in three solid efforts.
September 14, 2008
Marshawn Lynch carried the ball 19 times for 59 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's victory over the Jaguars.

Our View:He also chipped in one reception for eight yards, and has scored a touchdown in each of the first two weeks of the season.
September 7, 2008
Running back Marshawn Lynch rushed 18 times for 76 yards and a touchdown in the season opener. He also caught three passes for 18 yards.

Our View:We'll take it. The Bills kept some wear off Lynch by using Fred Jackson late, and we're fine with that, too. Lynch didn't have a lot of huge games as a rookie, but he is one of the more consistent, solid fantasy scorers.
July 28, 2008
Marshawn Lynch is not facing any penalties from the NFL as it has been decided he didn't violate the personal conduct policy in his hit-and-run incident, according to BuffaloBills.com.

Our View:If there was any risk drafting Lynch this season due to the hit-and-run case, it is now gone.
July 3, 2008
Marshawn Lynch will play more on third down this season, which should translate into more receptions for the second year pro, according to BuffaloBills.com. "I think this year he'll be an integral part of our third down package," said Buffalo offensive coordinator Turk Schonert

Our View:This will only enhance Lynch's fantasy value, especially in PPR leagues. Even if he does get a minor suspension for his recent traffic incident, he remains a top fantasy running back.
June 28, 2008
Buffalo rusher Marshawn Lynch had his driver's license revoked in traffic court on Friday after saying he didn't know he had struck a pedestrian on a Buffalo street last week, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Administrative Law Judge Thomas Gagola found Lynch's behavior on May 31 "constituted a reckless disregard of human life or property." He also imposed the maximum $100 fine and $50 surcharge after Lynch pleaded guilty to failure to exercise due care toward a pedestrian. While Roger Goodell may intervene and hand down a suspension, it would seem the severity of the incident (or lack thereof) would result in a minimal punishment (possibly a fine rather than a suspension). If Lynch can get right and stay on the straight in narrow, there is little reason to hamper his fantasy value at this time. Just keep an eye on him moving forward.
June 27, 2008
Marshawn Lynch plead guilty to failure to exercise due care and apologized to the victim of his recent hit-and-run accident, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:Roger Goodell will may have something to say about this, and that is worth looking out for in the upcoming fantasy football season. It probably won't be enough to warrant a long suspension, but it does raise the value of backup running back Fred Jackson a bit.
June 25, 2008
Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch is expected to plead guilty Friday to a traffic violation — which is not a criminal charge — for the hit-and-run accident involving his vehicle, according to the Buffalo News.

Our View:Authorities investigating the May 31 accident have discussed two possible traffic violations: failure to exercise due care to avoid striking a pedestrian or leaving the scene of a property-damage accident. Each of those violations carries a maximum penalty of $250 and 15 days in jail, but first-time offenders are all but assured of avoiding jail on such charges.
June 20, 2008
Updating a previous report, it now appears that Marshawn Lynch will in fact plead guilty to a hit and run charge as the driver of the vehicle that struck a woman and fled the scene on May 31st, this according to the Buffalo News. The plea deal likely will not include any jail time.

Our View:Lynch could still face a league mandated suspension, especially if the NFL is sincere about it's desire to clean up an exceedingly disgusting propensity for its players to be involved in illegal activities. Then again, he might escape without punishment since he has never been arrested before. He likely won't be as lucky if a civil case is filed as it most certainly will be.
June 20, 2008
Erie County D.A. Frank Clark has announced that he has reached an agreement in principle to end the Marshawn Lynch fiasco, according to WBEN-930 radio. Clark stated that the agreement is based on a concession that Lynch was "behind the wheel" when his SUV hit a woman on May 31. Clark didn’t say that Lynch was driving, though.

Our View:Lynch is expected back in town next week to answer to the charges.
June 20, 2008
Some type of deal could soon be reached in the hit-and-run case involving Marshawn Lynch's SUV, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Bills' attorney Paul Cambria said, "I was planning to go to the grand jury with three team officials, and I was notified that their appearances were postponed. To me, that is an indication that Marshawn Lynch, his attorney and the district attorney are moving toward a resolution in this case."

Our View:Lynch has not spoken publicly and has not told the police whether or not he was driving his SUV when it struck a woman. Three of Lynch’s teammates were previously scheduled to testify before the grand jury, but their appearances were postponed.
June 16, 2008
The hit and run case involving Marshawn Lynch may soon be resolved, according to the Buffalo News. "We are proceeding with our investigation, following all the leads, and we hope it can be resolved sometime this week," District Attorney Frank J. Clark said.

Our View:Even if this case is cleared up, if Lynch is at fault you can bet a civil case will be filed from the young lady who was hit during the accident. Hopefully Lynch can soon focus on football.
June 13, 2008
Three Buffalo Bills’ players have been issued subpoenas to appear before the Erie County grand jury next Friday - rookie wide receivers James Hardy and Steve Johnson and second-year offensive lineman Christian Gaddis, according to the Buffalo News. Buffalo Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr., Chief Operating Officer Russ Brandon, three other Bills officials and three players all may be required to tell an Erie County grand jury what they know about the hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle owned by running back Marshawn Lynch.

Our View:Forcing players and team officials before a grand jury seems to be a serious matter for a case involving only a possible misdemeanor charge - leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident - that could be filed against Lynch, if he was driving. Legal observers have stated that similar cases of leaving the scene of an accident, when no one is seriously injured normally leads to a plea to a lesser traffic infraction, with the defendant often paying about a $250 fine. Stay tuned.
June 12, 2008
Updating an earlier report, three Buffalo Bills and a high ranking team official have been subpoenaed to appear before the grand jury looking into the the hit and run allegations against Marshawn Lynch, according to the Associated Press. “Investigators believe these people have information regarding this case,” Buffalo Police Department spokesman Michael DeGeorge said.

Our View:There have been reports that the players involved are James Hardy, Steve Johnson and Christian Gaddis, while there are also rumors that up to three front-office personal will eventually be called to testify. Here's our advice to Mr. Lynch - you had better start cooperating or you could find yourself sharing time in the yard with Michael Vick sometime soon.
June 12, 2008
Buffalo Police Officer Allan A. Kasprzak will go to the stadium in Orchard Park this afternoon and try to question three or more Buffalo players about Marshawn Lynch’s alleged hit-and-run accident, according to the Buffalo News.

Our View:Police say they have received no cooperation from Lynch and little cooperation from his teammates in their probe of the accident that injured a 27-year-old Ontario woman who was struck while crossing the street at West Chippewa Street and Delaware Avenue on May 31.
June 12, 2008
Marshawn Lynch wouldn't likely serve any jail time if found guilty in the hit-and-run incident involving his car, according to ESPN Insider.

Our View:Lynch would be a first-time offender, and the league could suspend him for a game or two, but he wouldn't lose an entire season, or wouldn't fall under the Player Conduct Code for the incident.
June 10, 2008
Marshawn Lynch worked on individual drills and did some 7-on-7 work during practice on Tuesday, the team's official web site reports. The running back had been missing time following Lasik surgery. He could be a full-go on Wednesday.

Our View:We're much more worried about Lynch's off-field activities than his eye surgery and on-field actions. His health is not a concern as we head into the summer.
June 10, 2008
Marshawn Lynch's attorney (Michael Caffery) met with Erie County D.A. Frank Clark on Monday, according to NFL.com. Clark didn't rule out impaneling a grand jury to compel those passengers to testify who was driving Lynch's 2008 Porsche SUV early May 31, when it sped off after it hit and injured a female pedestrian. Clark said, "There were a number of people that were with him that night. How quickly we get to the bottom of this will depend on how cooperative people are. Whether it takes me a day, a week or a month, it'll get resolved." Clark noted there were numerous surveillance cameras operating in the area of the accident, which occurred at an intersection near Buffalo's downtown bar district. Clark spoke after a meeting with Michael Caffery ended with no information being exchanged. Clark said Caffery opened the meeting asking for certain preconditions before speaking on behalf of his client. Clark refused. Clark said the meeting concluded when Caffery said it was "in his client's best interest not to say anything."

Our View:Nothing was resolved during the meeting, but Lynch is still open to providing a statement at some point.
June 9, 2008
Marshawn Lynch missed his second straight practice on Monday because he revealed that he underwent eye surgery, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:Lynch had Lasik surgery on Friday and expects to be cleared to return to practice by Wednesday, when the Bills open a three-day mandatory mini-camp. He did not comment on the hit-and-run incident involving his car.
June 8, 2008
Attorneys representing Bills running back Marshawn Lynch will meet with investigators on Monday, according to WGRZ News.

Our View:Erie County police believe Lynch has been involved in a potential hit-and-run accident. His SUV was found damaged with evidence supporting his vehicle was involved in the crime, and investigators have told reporters they believe Lynch was driving the vehicle when the incident occurred. Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark reports the investigation is nearing completion and will be completed with or without Lynch's cooperation. Clark also reports their efforts are moving forward under the assumption Lynch was driving the vehicle.
June 7, 2008
Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark now believes Bills' running back Marshawn Lynch was driving the vehicle involved in an alleged hit-and-run incident that injured a pedestrian last weekend, according to NFL.com. Clark said, "We're proceeding on the assumption that Lynch was driving the car."

Our View:Clark made his new assertion based on the vehicle being owned by Lynch and that the player was spotted that night in the bar district near the accident scene. And he noted that police located the vehicle, with damage linking it to the collision, parked in the player's driveway later that morning. Lynch has declined comment and did not take part in the Bills' voluntary practice Friday morning.
June 6, 2008
New offensive coordinator Turk Schonert didn't envision having the Marshawn Lynch controversy in his first training camp, but he does. Schonert takes over for Steve Fairchild (Colorado State head coach) and will look to improve an offense that ranked 30th in total yards.

Our View:Schonert's M.0. is all about running the football, so the Marshawn Lynch hit and run news will create some issues during the Bills upcoming training camp.
June 6, 2008
Two sources told WGRZ.com that a witness has placed Bills Running Back Marshawn Lynch behind the wheel of his S.U.V. at the time of a hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning. An Erie County source, who asked not to be identified, reports that investigators have four witnesses now that say Lynch was driving.

Our View:This does absolutely nothing positive for Lynch's focus towards football, and selfish fantasy owners are sure to be more consumed with his draft day value, rather than the accident itself.
June 5, 2008
Things are looking very grim for Marshawn Lynch as he has been identified as the "principal suspect" in a hit and run accident, according to the Associated Press. Here is the report from Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark. “There were other people in the car, too, (Lynch) wasn’t the only person in the car,” Clark said. “I don’t know whether he was driving that car or not. But I’m confident that before the investigation ends, we’re going to find out, whether he talks to us or whether he doesn’t.”

Our View:Yet another off-field incident to further tarnish the image of the NFL. At least the woman that was hit with the SUV is alright. Lynch was almost certainly involved at some level, let's just hope he cooperates with authorities so he can avoid a substantial punishment, though it's not looking too good right now.
June 4, 2008
Reports out of Buffalo state police discovered a SUV registered to Bills running back Marshawn Lynch parked in his driveway shortly after that vehicle struck a woman early Saturday morning, according to the Buffalo News.

Our View:The paper is reporting the SUV had visible damage and has been linked to the scene of the crime. Sources have also told the paper that Lynch was seen in the area not long before the incident. The police have yet to name Lynch as an official suspect, but reports indicate a charge of leaving the scene of an accident, a Class A misdemeanor, are likely to follow.
June 4, 2008
Marshawn Lynch has resumed practicing with the Bills' OTA, according to BuffaloBills.com.

Our View:Bills' team-mates said there have been no discussions as of yet regarding Lynch's possible involvement in the recent hit-and-run incident with his car.
June 2, 2008
Police intend to meet with Marshawn Lynch following a hit-and-run involving his car, according to WIVB.com.

Our View:As of right now, the team will only say that Lynch's attorney is out of town and will address this incident when he returns. Lynch has not been charged with a crime, and it remains unknown if he was in the car at the time of the accident.
May 31, 2008
Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a car registered to Bills' running back Marshawn Lynch, according to WGRZ-TV in Buffalo. The car struck a female pedestrian at around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. The woman struck was on the ground for several minutes, but then was able to get up and walk to a nearby ambulance.

Our View:It remains unknown whether Lynch was driving the car, or whether he was inside it. More details should be revealed shortly.

Buffalo RB Marshawn Lynch (1,115 yards) joined Minnesota's Adrian Peterson as the only NFL rookie running backs to top 1,000 yards according to Fox Sports. The last time the league had at least two 1,000-yard rookies was 2001, when San Diego's LaDainian Tomlinson, Chicago's Anthony Thomas and Indianapolis Dominic Rhodes completed the feat. Barring offseason injuries, both Lynch and Peterson figure to be first-round fantasy selections in 2008.
