Derek Anderson will meet with the Seahawks on Thursday and the Cardinals on Friday, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:Anderson has the size and strength of a prototypical starting quarterback, though he's simply been awful since his breakout 2007 campaign. While he'd have an outside shot to compete for a starting gig if he landed in either Seattle or Arizona, he'd more likely serve as a backup to either Matt Hasselbeck or Matt Leinart.

After being released by the Browns on Tuesday, Derek Anderson hurled some grenades at the team's fans, according to the News-Herald. "The fans are ruthless and don't deserve a winner," he said. "I will never forget getting cheered when I was injured. I know at times I wasn't great. I hope and pray I'm playing when my team comes to town and (we) roll them."

Our View:In Anderson's defense, Cleveland's fans are a rowdy bunch. In that rowdy bunch's defense, Anderson was borderline historically awful as his time in Ohio wound down.

The Browns have terminated Derek Anderson's contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Our View:This move has been expected for a while and became even more imminent yesterday after the Browns dealt for Seneca Wallace. Anderson will surely draw interest on the open market, though it's pretty clear at this point that his 2007 success was a mirage. The best-case scenario for him would be to land somewhere (possibly Buffalo?) where he'd be in a position to compete for a starting job, though it's probably more likely that a team will sign him as a backup.

Much like Brady Quinn, Derek Anderson sounds like a goner in Cleveland, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:He is due a $2 million roster bonus on March 19, something the Browns have zero interest in paying. After his borderline historically awful play last season, you certainly can't say he hasn't earned his release.

Browns president Mike Holmgren is expected to meet with Derek Anderson's agents at the NFL combine this week, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Our View:Anderson is due a $2 million roster bonus on March 19 and he'll surely have to re-negotiate - if not completely waive - that bonus if he has any hopes of staying in Cleveland. He's been awful the past two seasons and the Browns probably provide him with one of the few opportunities where he could even compete for a starting job.

The high temperature in Cleveland will be 21 degrees for today's game against the Jaguars. The winds will be WNW at 20 to 30 MPH with gusts up to 40 MPH, and 2-to-four inches of snow is expected.

Our View:We normally don't like warm-weather teams traveling to cold weather locations, but the Jaguars should feature Maurice Jones-Drew heavily today. As for Cleveland, Jerome Harrison has had the hot hand and the team should continue to feed him the rock, especially given the high winds that are expected this afternoon.
