Quarterback Derek Anderson has been benched in favor of Brady Quinn for Thursday's game against Denver, according to ESPN.

Our View:Anderson has been a big disappointment this season. He has completed less than 50 percent of his passes while throwing nine touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has a 68.9 percent passer rating. Anderson signed a big contract extension in the offseason and if Quinn fares poorly against the Broncos, Anderson could resume the starting position before the season ends.

Quarterback Derek Anderson completed 17-of-33 passes for 219 yards with two touchdowns against one interception in the Week 9 loss to Baltimore.

Our View:Anderson, who continues to struggle with accuracy issues, threw only one interception but it was returned 42 yards for a touchdown by Terrell Suggs, sealing the win for the Ravens. As a result, the Brady Quinn watch might be back on in Cleveland this week.

Derek Anderson was 14-of-27 for 246 yards and a touchdown in the Browns' 23-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.

Our View:It wasn't always pretty, especially in the second half, but Anderson got the job done. Anderson has not thrown a pick since the Browns' Week 5 bye, and not coincidentally Cleveland is 2-1 over those three games.

Derek Anderson and fullback Lawrence Vickers appeared to have words early in the fourth quarter when Anderson called a timeout with 13:54 to go, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. Anderson stated, "It was loud. I love Vick. In the heat of battle, there was no beef, no issue there."

Our View:Anderson is wise not to have an issue with Vickers, as he needs the talented fullback to help block for him.

The Browns were coming off a big win over the Giants in Week 6 but in Week 7 Derek Anderson only completed 14-of-37 passes for 136 yards. The Browns fell to the Redskins 14-11.

Our View:After Week 6 the critics were somewhat quited but you have to believe the Brown fans are starting to get a little impatient with Anderson. Brady Quinn's time has to be getting close.
