October 5, 2008
Tight end Bo Scaife compiled seven receptions for 72 yards in the Week 5 victory over Baltimore.

Our View:Scaife has posted 70+ yards or scored a touchdown in three of five games this season. After five weeks, Scaife has compiled 20 receptions for 225 yards and one touchdown.
September 7, 2008
Bo Scaife led the Titans with six catches and 105 receiving yards in the season opener against the Jaguars. The career-best outing included a career-long 44-yard reception.

Our View:Scaife's big day may be an indication that Vince Young isn't yet comfortable with newer faces like Justin McCareins and Alge Crumpler. This backup tight end has been a decent safety value in the past, but this big outing probably won't turn into a trend.

Bo Scaife will sign his one-year tender offer of $1.47 million today, according to the Tennessean. Scaife, a sixth-round pick by the Titans in 2005, had 46 receptions for 421 yards and one touchdown last season. This season he'll play behind veteran tight end Alge Crumpler, a free agent acquired last month.

The Tennessee Titans have placed a second-round tender on starting tight end Bo Scaife, according to Scout.com. While the move may have come to a surprise to some, it's believed the team used a higher tender than expected to dissuade other teams from signing him to an offer sheet. The former sixth-round pick in the 2005 draft is coming off a career-high in receptions (46) during the 2007 season. Scaife has the Texas connection with quarterback Vince Young in his favor, but the organization is still expected to make a run at tight end Alge Crumpler.

The Tennessee Titans lost one of Vince Young’s key targets on Wednesday, as they placed tight end Bo Scaife on injured reserve just days before their wildcard playoff game. Scaife suffered a lacerated liver after being hit by Colts safety Matt Giordano in the second quarter of Sunday night’s game. Scaife finished the game and returned to Nashville with the team, but was hospitalized for a while on Monday.
