Continuing on with the Adam Jones story, ESPN.com has released a snippet of video detailing the accounts of June, 18, 2007, the night Jones allegedly ordered the shooting of three Atlanta men at a local strip club.

Our View:The clip is from ESPN's "Outside the Lines," which plans to air the story in its entirety Sunday morning at 9 a.m. ET.

In what I hope will be the last post tonight involving Adam Jones, the Dallas Morning News reports that Jones is planning to take legal action against ESPN. Released by the Cowboys Wednesday after an ESPN reporter contacted the Dallas organization about a 2007 Atlanta shooting in which he was allegedly involved, Jones denies he had any part in the incident that directly led to his release. "It will be a lawsuit in a week against ESPN," Jones said late Wednesday evening. "That's stupid. It's so stupid I have no more comments."

Our View:Something tells me this debacle won't end pretty, nor will it subside any time soon. Stay tuned...

ESPN.com, in conjunction with the Associated Press, is now reporting that the Dallas Cowboys released Adam Jones after learning of new allegations involving the beleaguered former Pro Bowler.

Our View:The move to release Jones occurred after John Barr, a reporter with ESPN's "Outside the Lines," contacted the Dallas organization, as well as Jones' attorneys, about a segment scheduled to air Sunday chronicling Jones' alleged involvement in a June 2007 shooting in Atlanta.

New information concerning the release of Adam Jones keeps surfacing. Now it seems as though Jones' agent, Worrick Robinson, is busy deflecting speculation that his client was let go because of recent developments surrounding a 2007 shooting in Atlanta that allegedly involved the former Pro Bowler, according to ESPN.com. "We don't have any reason to believe at this point that that off-the-field incident had anything to do with the team's decision today," Robinson said.

Our View:According to reports, Jones allegedly arranged the shooting of three Atlanta-area men after one of the men had been involved in a dispute with Jones inside a local strip club. ESPN claims to have obtained information indicating an informant told police that Jones did, indeed, order the shooting. The incident took place in June of 2007, two months after Jones was suspended by Commissioner Roger Goodell. Charges have not been filed for the incident due to the fact the victims were unable to identify the shooter.

Moments after speaking with newly released Adam Jones, Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News reports that the once standout cornerback/special teams player didn't see Wednesday's move coming. "Surprised. Yeah, I was surprised. All I can do is keep working hard, keep my nose clean and hope for the best," Jones told Watkins. When asked if he thought an NFL team would give him a third chance, Jones replied, "We'll see."

Our View:Time will tell if another NFL franchise will gamble on Jones and his antics. His release from Dallas will not become official until Feb. 9, when NFL teams are allowed to make waiver requests
