Roydell Williams auditioned for the Rams Tuesday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:He left without a contract. He had been recovering from a broken ankle he sustained in January, and did not make an appearance with the Titans this season prior to being let go.

Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Roydell Williams is exploring filing a grievance against the team, as he and his agents believe he was never healthy enough to be taken off the PUP list, according to the Nashville City Paper.

Our View:Williams, who had 55 catches last season, broke his ankle in January, and had still been recovering from that when training camp started. He was on the PUP list initially before being taken off midway through.

Roydell Williams has been cut by the Titans, according to the Tennessean.

Our View:Williams was unable to make a quick and favorable recovery from his broken ankle sustained back in January, and the Titans did not have the patience to give him more time.

Titans receiver Roydell Williams may be running out of time to prove he's recovered enough from ankle surgery to be a contributor this season, according to the Tennessean.

Our View:The fourth-year pro, who underwent ankle surgery in January, made little progress in limited action against the Falcons on Friday night and did not have a catch. As for where Williams currently sits on the depth chart, coach Jeff Fisher declined to say. But the coach did say the receiver's health is the staff's only gripe. Williams, who tied for the team lead in receptions last year, has admitted he expects the ankle to bother him all season.

Roydell Williams, who is trying to bounce back from ankle surgery, made his preseason debut Friday against Atlanta, according to the Nashville City Paper. The game was played at the Georgia Dome and Williams said, "It’s just tough on turf. I had like six plays. The goal was for me to play a quarter, and that’s what I did."

Our View:He did not catch a pass, but looks like a better bet to make the final roster with a preseason game under his belt. The Titans' lack a strong receiving corps, meaning he could regain a solid role in the offense when he gets back up to speed.
