Team doctors and trainers reviewed x-rays on Monday and expect Gore to play next Sunday against the Saints. "I'm sore right now, but I'll be straight," said Gore who has a bruise below his knee and one above his ankle. "I'll be good to play, and I'll be ready to practice too."

More should be known about the status of Frank Gore after he is examined further today, according to the Contra Costa Times. Gore left yesterday's game with an ankle injury, though X-rays were negative. He churned out 134 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries before exiting the game.

The Niners upgraded the status of Frank Gore to from questionable to probable after he practiced on Friday, according to the Contra Costa Times. Gore is recovering from a concussion. "It felt good to run around like that again," Gore said. "I feel all right. I'm ready to get back in the game and take a hit."

It will be interesting to see if the Niners give Gore goal-line work going forward, as he's had some fumbling problems in the red are and Michael Robinson (who's nicked up a bit, too) had a pair of goal-line plunges last week.
