ESPN.com is reporting that the Tampa Bay Bucs plan to work out wide receiver Matt Jones on Tuesday. Jones, a former member of the Jacksonville squad, has received interest from at least six teams over the last week.

Our View:Jones is the most talented receiver available out there right now by far, and he would be a nice upgrade for Tampa if they decide to make the move. His off-field history is a concern, but most people believe he has turned his life around and will no longer be a distraction. Expect him to be signed by someone within the next week.

According to the Nashville Tenessean, the Titans worked out receivers Matt Jones, Jerry Porter, and Samie Parker on Thursday, but all left without a contract. Tennessee officials say nothing is imminent in regards to signing a receiver.

Our View:Jones still looks like he could really help out an offense, but thus far he hasn't drawn much interest. Parker and Porter have less upside, but the off-field problems for Jones may make the others more attractive.

Receiver starved Tennessee will work out free agent wide receiver Matt Jones on Thursday, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Our View:The Bears and Cowboys are also reportedly "monitoring" the situation. The troubled wide receiver caught 65 balls for 761 yards in just 12 games for Jacksonville in 2008, and would be a huge addition to the Titans' receiving corps if he has gotten his life back on track.

The Bears are not interested in Matt Jones, according to their official team website.

Our View:The Bears seem to be content with Devin Hester and Earl Bennett as their projected starting tandem at receiver. Jones' reps contacted the Bears, but they are not interested in giving him another chance to play in the NFL as of now.

Free agent wide receiver Matt Jones has talked to the Bears, Cowboys, Jets, and Titans about a contract, according to ESPN.com. "Things are looking good. Something probably will happen sooner or later," the receiver says.

Our View:Jones has been linked to multiple drug allegations and he certainly represents some risk to whomever would be willing to sign him. He led the Jaguars with 65 catches last season.
