Jammal Brown fully practiced Thursday, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He re-aggravated his sprained ankle last weekend during battle with the Lions.

Our View:This is encouraging news that Brown fully practiced, but the solid starting left tackle's status for Sunday against the Panthers is yet to be determined. The merely adequate Zach Strief would likely replace Brown if he cannot go.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that left tackle Jammal Brown re-aggravated his sprained ankle in the first half of Sunday's win over the Lions on Sunday. He hopes to play against the Panthers next week.

Our View:The Saints may miss him as Drew Brees tries to break Dan Marino's NFL record for passing yards in a season next week. Third-year pro Zach Strief will likely replace him if he cannot go.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that the Saints have ruled left tackle Jammal Brown out of Thursday's game at Chicago with a sprained left ankle.

Our View:He will be replaced in the starting lineup by third-year pro Zach Strief. Strief has started two games in his career at left tackle - one each in 2006 and 2007 - and he has filled in this year at both left and right tackle.

Offensive tackle Jammal Brown appeared to injure his left ankle early in the fourth quarter of the Week 14 game against the Falcons. Zach Strief took his place.

Our View:Hopefully this injury is not serious, as Drew Brees would miss his blindside blocker.

Saints offensive lineman Jammal Brown injured his groin in Week 3 but practiced on Wednesday. The Saints say that there is a good chance that Brown will play on Sunday, according to the Times-Picayune.

Our View:If Brown's groin keeps him out of the lineup in Week 4, Jermon Bushrod will take his place at left-tackle.
