According to Jay Glazer on Twitter, the Seahawks have acquired Chris Clemons and a 2010 fourth-round pick for defensive end Daryl Tapp.

Our View:While in Seattle Clemons will keep the same rotational pass rush role he held with the Eagles. He's not a great option, as he's averaged just 3.5 sacks the past two seasons, but at least the Seahawks got an extra pick for someone (Tapp) that they were phasing out of the system anyway.

Our View:Clemons will not return and no additional information is available regarding the severity of the injury.

Chris Clemons was held out of Eagles practice on Friday with an illness, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:Clemons is a reserve defensive end with 1.5 sacks this season. His potential absence would create few fantasy ramifications.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Clemons has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week, according to PhiladelphiaEagles.com.

Our View:Clemons sacked Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo twice in Week 17 and also ran back a Romo fumble 73 yards for a score.

Chris Clemons had an uneventful preseason due to injuries but aims to have a productive regular season as a pass-rusher with the Eagles, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He said, "Just show up on Sundays and take notes. The proof is in the pudding. Unfortunately, the injuries came in the preseason, and I wasn't able to show the organization exactly what I'm capable of doing. Would the fans rather see me in the preseason or in the regular season? That's the question. Not to say that preseason isn't important, but at the end of the day, if you get hurt in the preseason, then there is no regular season."

Our View:Clemens emerged as a pass-rushing threat with Oakland last season as he racked up eight sacks, and he is worthy of a roster spot as a backup in IDP leagues, especially those that put a premium on sacks.
