Willie Parker will likely not need surgery to repair the injured labrum in his shoulder, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Parker has also decided to shed the protective harness he has been using on his shoulder.

Our View:Parker had a rough year as he ended up with just 791 yards, hundreds less than the 1,337 he has averaged the past three years, though he still managed to score five rushing touchdowns, his highest total in that time span. Even if he doesn't go under the knife, his value is at an all-time low given his struggles.

Running back Willie Parker rushed 23 times for 116 yards and a touchdown in the Week 17 win over the Browns.

Our View:This effort doesn't erase the disappointment of the previous 14 weeks. Parker started the regular season well and ended it well, but fantasy owners receiver very little in between. A strong postseason could only help his 2009 value.

Our View:Parker averaged just 1.8 yards on 18 carries in the Steelers loss to the Titans on Sunday and has just one touchdown since scoring three in Week 1.

Willie Parker managed just 47 yards on 14 carries as the Steelers beat the Ravens 13-9 on Sunday. He added two catches for nine yards in the modest effort.

Our View:Parker was clearly the No. 1 back for Pittsburgh even after receiving some criticism from his coach earlier in the week. The production was disappointing from a fantasy standpoint, but the Steelers were winners once again. Look for Parker to continue to see at least twice as much action as backup Mewelde Moore.
