March 4, 2010
Corey Williams will be traded from Cleveland to Detroit, according to ESPN. The swap is pending a physical.

Our View:Detroit is serious about improving their defensive line, and will be hoping that Williams benefits from a fresh start with a new team after being a disappointment in Cleveland. Kyle Vanden Bosch is also still on their radar.

Corey Williams is due a $1.7MM roster bonus in March, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He will have a $4.2MM base salary for the 2010 campaign as well.

Our View:Williams does not look to be worth that much, after only chipping in 31 tackles and four sacks in 2009. He does not feel comfortable in Cleveland's 3-4 defensive scheme, and the team may decide to cut him loose.
January 3, 2010
Defensive end Corey Williams exited the game against Jacksonville in the third quarter with a thigh injury, according to the Cleveland Browns' official twitter page.

Our View:No word on the severity of the injury, but Williams is considered questionable to return.
December 20, 2009
Corey Williams exited the game at Kansas City early in the second half with a left leg injury.

Our View:Williams had to be assisted to the locker room, and his return is questionable.

ProfootballTalk.com is reporting that the Carolina Panthers may have some interest in Browns' defensive tackle Corey Williams. The Panthers sent their GM to look at Williams in Green Bay Saturday night.

Our View:Williams has not adapted well to the Browns' 3-4 defense, and he would be better off playing in a 4-3 like they do in Carolina. The Panthers would probably have trouble fitting him under the cap, but he would be a nice addition if they could bring him in.
