ProfootballTalk.com is reporting that the Carolina Panthers may have some interest in Browns' defensive tackle Corey Williams. The Panthers sent their GM to look at Williams in Green Bay Saturday night.

Our View:Williams has not adapted well to the Browns' 3-4 defense, and he would be better off playing in a 4-3 like they do in Carolina. The Panthers would probably have trouble fitting him under the cap, but he would be a nice addition if they could bring him in.

Corey Williams is listed as questionable for the Browns game against the Broncos, according to the Browns official web site. Williams is battling a shoulder injury.

Our View:Williams doesn't hold any fantasy value but it will be a big hole on the Browns defense.

Corey Williams believes he will be fine after re-aggravating his shoulder injury Sunday, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He said, "I'll be fine. I'll play next week. I knew I had to come back in the game. We're thin on the defensive line and I couldn't let my teammates down."

Our View:He holds little fantasy value, but is a solid defensive lineman, and this is encouraging news as the Browns cannot afford to be without him this weekend while contending with the Jaguars' strong ground attack.

Defensive end Corey Williams exited the game against Washington with a shoulder injury.

Our View:No additional information is currently available regarding the severity of the injury, but Williams is questionable to return.

Corey Williams missed much of training camp due to a left shoulder injury, but made an appearance in Thursday's preseason game against the Jets and made a solid impact, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He got in for two snaps at defensive end, and helped stuff quarterback Kellen Clemens for no gain on a 4th-and-1 on his second play.

Our View:Williams only made 35 tackles (26 solo) over 16 games with Green Bay last season, but reached seven sacks with three forced fumbles and an interception, and should hold favorable fantasy value in larger IDP leagues in his first campaign with Cleveland in 2008.
