Due $2.95 million in 2010, Nathan Vasher will most likely be released, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:He finished up 2009 as barely a part-time contributor, and just isn't worth the money anymore. Perhaps a change of scenery will do him well, but for the moment, he won't be worth a look in IDP leagues next season.

Pro Football Weekly reports that Bears cornerback Nathan Vasher is likely to be released sometime in the offseason.

Our View:Vasher did not play well this season, though to be fair he was battling injuries. He had just 21 tackles and one interception this season.
December 30, 2008
ESPN.com reports that the Chicago Bears have fired defensive backs coach Steven Wilks.

Our View:The Bears were terrible in pass defense this season, ranking 30th in the NFL, allowing 241.2 yards per game through the air.

Nathan Vasher has been placed on injured reserve after breaking his hand last Sunday against the Rams, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:Vasher didn't have much value in IDP leagues, but his loss will hurt the Bears' team defense in fantasy.
November 28, 2008
The Chicago Tribune reports that Nathan Vasher's season is likely over after he fractured his right hand and reinjured his thumb against the Rams.

Our View:Vasher is an excellent cornerback when healthy, but he has dealt with a variety of injuries this season. Corey Graham will start in his place and Vasher's absence will hurt the Bears' defense.
