Although Sam Hurd started in place of the injured Terry Glenn on Sunday, it was Patrick Crayton who really took advantage of Glenn's absence. Crayton caught five passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.

Patrick Crayton should see more snaps Sunday at Arizona as the Cowboys will be without Terry Glenn. The plan for Dallas is to start Sam Hurd opposite Terrell Owens, but Crayton has more experience than Hurd to this point and probably has at least as much fantasy upside, perhaps more.

Patrick Crayton is expected to play Sunday despite a sore ankle, and he's not even listed on the Cowboys' injury report. If Crayton does play as expected, rookie receiver Sam Hurt will probably be scratched.

Patrick Crayton should be the emergency quarterback for the Cowboys in the season opener, according to the AP. However, Crayton is still getting over a high ankle sprain, and it's not certain that he'll even be active for the opener. Crayton played quarterback in college, and the Cowboys kept only two true quarterbacks on their roster.

Patrick Crayton practiced Monday for the first time since suffering a high ankle sprain on Aug. 12, according to the team's official website. Crayton expects to play in Thursday's preseason finale against Minnesota. "I think it's real big to get some of that game-type speed. You can't really simulate the game-type speed in practice," Crayton said. "This game against Minnesota is going to help out a lot."

Patrick Crayton is still wearing a protective cast on his injured ankle and is expected to miss at least a week, according to DallasCowboys.com. Crayton said Monday that he believed there was a chance he could return to action in time for the preseason finale.

Patrick Crayton suffered a high ankle sprain in the preseason opener, according to the Cowboys website. He will sport a walking boot and crutches for a week, and be re-evaluated on Monday.

Patrick Crayton caught a touchdown pass in the preseason opener for the Cowboys but then left the game with a sprained right ankle, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Crayton tore ligaments in the same ankle last season and missed nine weeks of action.
