Colts inactives: S Bob Sanders, LB Buster Davis, T Corey Hilliard, G Daniel Federkeil, WR Roy Hall, TE Jacob Tamme, DT Daniel Muir, DE Marcus Howard.

Our View:Defensive end Dwight Freeney and wide receiver missed some time in practice this week (not injury related), but both players are active. Strong safety Bob Sanders is out again, which will make it easier for Steve Slaton to run the football on the Colts defense.

Colts.com reports that Bill Polian of the Colts does not expect Bob Sanders back until Week 9 against New England due to a high ankle sprain.

Our View:That's a little longer than initially expected. The Colts run defense will present a favorable running back matchup in the mean time.

Colts safety Bob Sanders underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Thursday, according to the Indianapolis Star. The surgery was performed now so the recovery would coincide with the healing of his high ankle sprain.

Our View:Sanders is expected to miss a few more weeks and now has to heal his knee. The Colts have struggled without Sanders and need him back as soon as he is ready.

Week 3 inactives: SS Bob Sanders, T Tony Ugoh, G Mike Pollack, WR Roy Hall, TE Jacob Temme, DT Daniel Muir, DE Curtis Johnson, and DE Marcus Howard.

Our View:The Colts had already ruled out Sanders and Ugoh, the two biggest names on this list. The big news is that Dallas Clark and Jeff Saturday are back.

Bob Sanders could be out 4-6 weeks due to a high ankle sprain, according to the Star Tribune. Colts' president Bill Polian said, "He will be back, that is for sure. At this point we are not sure of the severity, but four to six is the reasonable assumption at this time."

Our View:Sanders is an elite defensive back for IDP leagues, and his loss will also impact the Colts' defense as the anchor of the secondary.
