Mewelde Moore has been impressive for the Steelers thus far, and he could be a real offensive weapon as a third-down back, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:The report suggests Moore could snare as many as 40 or 50 passes out of the backfield. If that is the case, he has fantasy value in PPR leagues, but otherwise he is behind Willie Parker and Rashard Mendenhall, and won't get many carries.

Moore was the Vikings’ No. 3 running back last season and also was used on punt returns. He will be reunited with Steelers coach and former Vikings defensive coordinator Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh. Moore is expected to fill the third-down role in Pittsburgh, along with assuming the punt and kickoff return duties.

The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted Minnesota free agent running back Mewelde Moore this past weekend and his signing appears imminent, according to ESPN. Moore would provide Pittsburgh with a legitimate third-down back that could help out in the passing game. He's also likely to serve as the team's primary kickoff and punt returner. In his four seasons with the Vikings, Moore has rushed for 1,285 yards (4.9 avg.), while catching 116 passes for 1,093 yards.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have scheduled a visit with running back Mewelde Moore, according to the Pewter Report. With the uncertain status of Cadillac Williams and expected departure of Michael Pittman, the organization is looking to bring in some running back depth. Moore, 26, is a player Tampa Bay was expected to target because of his versatility and production. In his four seasons with the Vikings, Moore rushed for 1,285 yards (4.9 avg.) and caught 116 passes for 1,093 yards.
