Devery Henderson had two receptions for 96 yards in Week 16 for the Saints.

Our View:Big receptions have been the name of the game for Henderson this season, as he is averaging more than 20 yards per reception.
October 26, 2008
Wide receiver Devery Henderson caught three balls for 34 yards and one touchdown in the Week 8 victory over San Diego.

Our View:Henderson falls into the category of a player who his making the most of his limited opportunities. In the past four games, the LSU product has compiled 12 receptions for 286 yards and two scores.
October 6, 2008
Devery Henderson caught four passes for 104 yards including a 17 yard touchdown in the first quarter on Monday night.

Our View:Henderson entered the game with only six receptions and 213 yards all season so tonight's effort came as a bit of a surprise. Still, with all the health concerns of receivers on the Saints squad, it was nice to see him step up and give the type of performance that certainly resides in his talented body.

Coach Sean Payton states that Devery Henderson is not in jeopardy of not making the Saints' final roster, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. When asked if Henderson is fighting for a roster spot, Payton answered, "I see him fighting more for playing time. He's out with the first group, so when you look at Marques Colston and you look at Devery, those guys are right now lining up with the first group. Devery's competing against those other guys behind him. Lance Moore, Robert Meachem, those guys are wanting to get more snaps."

Our View:Henderson is inconsistent and frustrates fantasy owners with too many dropped passes, and could slide back down the depth chart as the season progresses, especially if Robert Meachem makes an impact.

Saints wide out Devery Henderson is in a battle for a roster spot because Robert Meachem has performed so well as the team's deep threat, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Henderson had just 20 catches last season, with an average of 20.5 yards per reception. The story for fantasy purposes is Meachem, however. If he continues his stellar play in the preseason, he should be someone that fantasy owners think long and hard about grabbing in drafts.
