Ben Hartsock has reportedly re-signed with the Jets, according to Pro Football Talk.

Our View:Look for Hartsock to remain a back, with the younger and more talented Dustin Keller firmly atop the depth chart at tight end.

The New York Post is reporting that Jets' backup tight end Ben Hartsock could be benched by coach Rex Ryan. Ryan is angry that Hartsock has committed three debilitating penalties that cost his team dearly in recent games.

Our View:With Dustin Keller the team's starter, Hartsock has no fantasy value anyway, but if he did it would be gone after this announcement. He is lucky he still has a job, but don't expect him to move off the bench much going forward.

Despite signing with the team just last week, Ben Hartsock will play "quite a bit" on Sunday vs. the Texans, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View:The news came straight from the mouth of head coach Rex Ryan. Hartsock has been primarily a blocking tight end his whole career, catching just 27 balls in 56 games, and there is zero reason to expect that will change with the Jets.

Ben Hartsock has signed with the New York Jets.

Our View:Hartsock will serve almost exclusively as a blocking tight end for the Jets, and has no fantasy value.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that tight end Ben Hartsock has been cleared to return to practice. He has been dealing with an injured toe since November 23 and is expected to participate in mini-camps.

Our View:Hartsock started eight of the first 11 games for the Falcons last season, but he was more of a blocking tight end. He will continue to serve that role, but Tony Gonzalez will eat into his playing time quite a bit. Hartsock has no fantasy value.
