Patriots tight end Ben Watson was hit with a $10,000 fine by the league for using the football as a prop after scoring a touchdown, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Watson's wife is pregnant, so he put the ball under his shirt as a salute to her. He was also penalized 15 yards on the play.

Ben Watson returned to the gridiron following his bout with a knee injury, but was limited to only 11 of 61 offensive snaps in Sunday's loss to Miami, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Dave Thomas remained the top tight end as he participated in 55 snaps. New England's offense struggled while under the direction of quarterback Matt Cassel, and their bye comes at a good time this weekend. That will also give Watson another week to get closer to 100 percent.

As expected, tight end Ben Watson (knee) is active in Week 3. He missed the first two contests.

Our View:Fantasy owners should steer clear until Watson proves that he is 100 percent. When healthy, Watson should be a No. 2 fantasy tight end option.

Though he did not appear on the Patriots injury list, tight end Ben Watson practiced with a brace on his knee for most of the week, and he may not be 100 percent, according to Sporting News Today.

Our View:Bill Belichick is notorious for taking liberties with the injury report, such as listing Tom Brady as probable for so many weeks in a row the last few years (until now, anyway). Watson will play, but how how much is not known, so consider him a bit of a risky fantasy play.

Ben Watson had been nursing a right knee injury, but practiced this week, and is not on the Patriots' injury report, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Watson has potential to post favorable numbers as Matt Cassel's safety valve this weekend against Miami.
