Player Notes
December 24, 2005
Julius Jones has had a nightmare season but came out of nowhere to rush for 194 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries against Carolina's stout run defense. Marion Barber carried just six times for 20 yards. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to how the Cowboys decide whether to feature Jones or have him share the load with Barber in a given week.

Julius Jones seemed to have reclaimed a role as the featured runner in the Dallas backfield last week, but on Sunday Jones once again shared work with Marion Barber. Jones rushed for 41 yards on 12 carries and did not catch a pass, while Barber carried 15 times for 82 yards and caught two passes for 32 yards.

Julius Jones got almost all of the work in the Dallas backfield in Week 13 against the Giants. Jones rushed for 74 yards on 23 carries and added 88 yards on nine receptions.
