Ben Troupe is listed as out for Week 4's game against the Chargers. He has an injured foot and has been seen wearing a boot on it.

Our View:The longer Troupe stays out, the better the odds are that Zach Miller awakens from his slumber. Troupe was acquired earlier this season after being released by Tampa Bay.

Ben Troupe injured his foot in his first practice after joining the Raiders, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Troupe was seen wearing a "boot" on his foot on Thursday.

Our View:Way to make a mark with your new club Ben. Troupe certainly has some skills that he could use to aide the Raiders passing attack, but even if healthy he doesn't figure to take away targets from Zach Miller.

The Oakland Raiders signed Ben Troupe on Friday according to NFL.com. Troupe was released by the Bucs earlier in the week.

Our View:The new team does not mean new fantasy impact for Troupe. He had just five catches in 2007 and will be third on the Raiders depth chart.

The Bucs have released Ben Troupe, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:The move clears a roster spot for Jerramy Stevens, who will return this week following a two-game suspension.

Ben Troupe noted the differences between playing in Tennessee and Tampa Bay, according to the Tampa Tribune. Troupe said, "The atmosphere, the players, and the level of focus and intensity. I mean, take nothing away from Tennessee. I thank God I was with them for four years. But it's the level of intensity down here in Tampa. Everyone jells with one another, we know that we are going to need everybody."

Our View:Troupe is projected to serve as backup to Alex Smith, but the Buccaneers like to feature two-tight end sets, and Troupe has a good chance to be productive and make a favorable impact with the club this season.
