Chris Perry exited the game against Philadelphia during the overtime period with a head injury.

Our View:No additional information is currently available, but it appeared that Perry might have suffered a concussion.

Cedric Benson was unable to practice Thursday due to a back ailment, and former starter Chris Perry handled all of the reps with the first-team offense, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Perry would likely start against the Eagles if Benson is unable to go. Perry would be looking to redeem himself after falling out of favor with poor ball security and a 2.6 yards-per-carry average. This is good news for him, but Perry would not merit fantasy consideration.

Coach Marvin Lewis commented on running back Chris Perry, who has not had a rushing attempt in the last two games, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Lewis said, "He's not hurt. Obviously we moved Cedric Benson ahead of him. We continue to have things in the offense for Chris to carry the football and do things. After being down 21-6 last week, we kind of got off kilter a little bit, so we don't get as many of those things off. He will continue to be in there on all downs, he just has to keep playing and do better at everything he's doing."

Our View:Perry lost his job due to poor ball security, and holds no fantasy value while working in a significantly reduced role as the No. 2 option.

Bengals.com reports that Chris Perry (shoulder) returned to practice on Thursday after missing all of Wednesday's workout.

Our View:Perry is averaging a mere 2.6 yards per carry this season and has struggled with fumbles. Cedric Benson appears to be moving in on his job.

Chris Perry is on a short leash and the Dayton Daily News is speculating that the Bengals may analyze other options regarding their starter. Coach Marvin Lewis said, "We're going to look at all that. We need to look at it and take a hard look, and see what's the best thing for us to go forward. It's a combination of things. I'm not going to sit here and elaborate much on it now. We've got to do better. It's not good enough."

Our View:Perry only rushed 11 times Sunday, with a dismal 1.6-yard average, and is averaging 2.6 yards-per-carry for the season. He has also struggled with fumbles, which could lead to his demise as a starter. The top candidates to replace him would be Kenny Watson and the recently acquired Cedric Benson.
