An MRI revealed no structural damage in the knee Steven Jackson bruised Monday night, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Rams expect him to be ready to play in the regular season finale on Sunday.

Steven Jackson technically started ahead of Marshall Faulk on Monday. Faulk did replace Jackson for the second play of the game, but he was far less effective. Jackson finished with eight carries for 40 yards while Faulk finished with seven carries for seven yards. Faulk caught five balls for 14 yards and a TD, but Jackson added two catches for 35 yards.

Steven Jackson carried 15 times for 73 yards during the Rams' exhibition game on Thursday. While Jackson showed good cutback ability and an ability to drag tacklers for extra yards, Mike Martz pointed out that he didn't always make his run reads properly, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Jackson's longest run was 18 yards, and it would have been longer had he not gotten tripped up by the turf.
