Due to a lack of evidence, Steven Jackson will not face charges for allegedly beating the mother of his child, Supriya Harris, last March, according to TMZ.

Our View:While this does not necessarily mean he is innocent, it is still good news for Jackson and his fans. This, coupled with the fact that Ms. Harris took over 10 months to come forward with her allegations, should leave his reputation relatively unharmed.

In a disheartening story out of St. Louis, Rams running back Steven Jackson has been accused of beating his then pregnant girlfriend in March of last year, according to TMZ.

Our View:Supriya Harris has filed a criminal complaint with the Las Vegas Police Department. It is unclear why she is filing a complaint nine months after the fact, so obviously, no conclusions can yet be jumped to. Stay tuned.

Despite not practicing all week due to a sore back, Steven Jackson will be available tfor today's game against the 49ers.

Our View:If his back flares up, there's a good chance he gets pulled from the game. If not, expect the Rams to turn to him often in the season finale. However, the 49ers have stumped a lot of good running backs already this season.

Our View:His status will not be decided until near game-time on Sunday. If he's a go, he'll be facing San Francisco's seventh ranked run defense.

Our View:Even if he does suit up, he'll face a tough rush defense in the 49ers. He'll likely be a game-time decision, so be sure you have a backup plan in place.
