FedEx founder and CEO Fred Smith is not interested in buying a majority share of the St. Louis Rams, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Our View:There was some believe Smith might buy the Rams and keep them in St. Louis, or possibly even move them to Memphis. Neither scenario is likely at this point and no serious potential buyer has emerged for the team yet.

According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Steven Jackson has improved his strength and route running with a new strength coach this offseason.

Our View:The Rams are switching to a new West Coast offense and the attack will pretty much be hinged on Jackson. He'll likely see an increase in receptions and overall touches in the upcoming season, and if he can remain healthy will be a fantasy monster.

Head coach Steve Spagnuolo has elected to close out the media from his team's workouts at a voluntary three-day minicamp, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Spagnuolo did say the workouts may be open for the next minicamp, which is to be held from May 1-3.

Running back Steven Jackson is expected back in St. Louis on Sunday evening after staying in Las Vegas last week for the birth of his son, according to the Post Dispatch.

Our View:Jackson, who figures to get significantly more carries next season as the Rams transition to more of a power running game under new head coach Steve Spagnuolo, will report to the team's offseason conditioning program next week.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have interviewed former Dallas defensive coordinator Brian Stewart for the team's cornerbacks coach position.

Our View:Despite the fact the Cowboys' defense ranked no lower than ninth in the league during Stewart's two-year tenure, he was terminated in Dallas' attempt to create a different culture after the team failed to make the playoffs. Stewart has ties to the state of Missouri. He performed three different stints between 1996-2000 as a member of the Missouri Tiger coaching staff.
